Best friends Carly, Spencer and Freddie are back, together they begin the next chapter of their lives and set out to tackle life's obstacles now that they are in their 20's. The show serves as a continuation of the Nickelodeon series iCarly. The series was created for television by Dan Schneider.

The rebooted series pilot received the title "iStart Over." Filming began in March of 2021 after COVID-19 restrictions began to lighten.
