Yuta Nakatsuka (born 7 January 1993) is a Japanese dancer and actor, and he is one of the Japanese all-male dance and music group Generations from Exile Tribe's Generations. With LDH, Nakatsuka is represented.
Early life
Yuta Nakatsuka was born in Osaka, Japan, on January 7, 1993.
Yuta became interested in dancing due to his mother's obsession with American music, particularly Black music. He listened to musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Babyface, and Eric Clapton, but no Japanese music at all. She even took him to live shows of Earth Wind & Fire and other artists. Yuta decided to become a dancer at the age of 6, and started attending "Dance Studio BOOM" in Ibaraki, Osaka, which had been recommended by his parents. Hilty & Bosch, one of his first dance instructors, met him there. They taught an acrobatics class and encouraged Yuta to start Locking. Yuta came out as one of the top students in their class despite being the youngest in their class. Yuta also took classes with Boo (the owner of the dance school), Cherry from Wild Cherry, Rei (the father of You from Hilty & Bosch), Yuki (boss of Osaka dancer) and Skeeter Rabbit (member of The Electric Boogaloos) because he wanted to try out all sorts of dance styles. Yuta began attending EXPG Osaka, LDH's talent academy, after being scouted by the company during a dance competition organized by Dance Studio BOOM. Due to his exceptional teaching abilities, he was chosen to teach in the same year. Sana of Twice is his most popular former student at EXPG Osaka.
When Yuta was 18 years old, he moved to Tokyo. He had trouble deciding what his future as a dancer should look like at that time. They earned 2nd place at the JAPAN DANCE DELIGHT vol.18 dance competition while Yuki Dojo was part of the Popping crew, as well as his former dance instructor Yuki at Dance Studio BOOM. Since being selected as a support member for Generations in 2011, Yuta's life had a major influence on his life. Yuki then sent him off with the best wishes to find his future and the promise that he can rejoin Yuki's crew any time, which inspired Yuta to do his best in his career as an artist.
Career
After Keita Machida's departure in 2012, he became a full member and just before the company's big debut.
In March 2014, he participated in Exile Performer Battle Audition and advanced to the finals, but he wasn't chosen to join EXILE.
He made his acting debut in the film "High & Poor The Worst" in October 2019.
