YNW Melly Life

Jamell Maurice Demons (born May 1, 1999), also known as YNW Melly, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Gifford, Florida.

He is best known for his songs "Murder on My Mind" and "Mixed Personalities" starring Kanye West.

His single "Murder on My Mind" is considered to have been YNW Melly's breakout, which attracted even more attention after the rapper was charged with double murder.

We All Shine, his debut album, received generally favorable reviews from critics. If convicted, he was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in February 2019 and faces life in prison or the death penalty.

He was also a suspect in the assassination of a sheriff's deputy in Gifford in 2017.

Demons pleaded not guilty to the double murder charges in March 2019 and are now awaiting trial.

Early life

Jamell Demons was born on May 1, 1999 and grew up in Gifford, Florida. Jamie Demons-King, his single mother, was raised by him and has no idea who his father is. Donte "Tha Gift" Taylor, a new rapper, claims to be YNW Melly's father. Demons-King was 14 years old when she first became pregnant with him and gave birth to him in the ninth grade. Later, when he was moving to a poorer part of Gifford, his mother continued to pay for housing and necessaries.

Demons joined the Bloods gang at a young age. When he was 15, he started posting his songs on SoundCloud. Demons were arrested in late 2015 for firing at a group of students near Vero Beach High School. He was found guilty of aggravated battery, discharging a firearm in public, and two counts of aggravated assault, for which he spent many months in jail.

Personal life

Demons (via management) told followers on Twitter that he tested positive for COVID-19 on April 2, 2020. Since 6ix9ine was banned from jail due to asthma and bronchitis, he was in the process of getting out early from jail due to health issues. His appeal was turned down on April 14.
