Career
Hongseok joined YG Entertainment in 2014 and participated in the reality survival competition Mix & Match as a participant of TEAM B. He was disregarded in the final episode alongside Jung Jin-hyeong, who did not make his iKON debut as a member. It was revealed in March 2015 that he had left YG Entertainment.
He joined Cube Entertainment in July 2015. He modeled for the fashion brand Clride.n in February 2016.

In the summer of 2021, Hongseok took the lead in the web series Blue Birthday, which was first published in Hongseok.
