Wendell Silva Lira (born 7 January 1989 in Goiânia) is a former Brazilian association footballer who competed as a striker.
Club career
Wendell started his career in Goiás and was the Campeonato Brasileiro Top Scorer in 2006, and was promoted to the senior squad the following year. In a 0–2 away loss to Só Paulo in the Campeonato Brasileiro on May 12, 2007, he made his professional debut in defeat to Fabro Carvalho.
He was loaned to Fortaleza de Campeonato Brasileiro Série C. in June 2010.
Goianésia's goal, according to the FIFA Puskás Award's ten-goal shortlist on November 6, 2015; the goal was later selected as one of three finalists for the 2015 FIFA Puskás Award.
