Wang Ziyi Career

Career

Before appearing in Idol Producer, Wang made his debut as part of BBT's boy band, BBT, on June 17, 2017. He is still a member of BBT, although he is mainly active as a solo artist these days.

Wang, along with members of BBT and other Simply Joy Music trainees, represented the group in the company's latest Chinese survival reality show, Idol Producer. In the final episode, trainees who were in the top tenth of the top ten trainers would make their debut as part of the temporary Chinese boy group Nine Perpetuo. The company was supposed to thrive for 18 months before disbanding. Wang earned his 7th position in its last episode and debuted as a member of Nine Percent.

Wang performed with Nine Percent on debut and appeared alongside other celebrities on the Chinese dance competition show Shake It Up.

Before disbanding on October 6, 2019, Nine Percent released two studio albums, "To the Nines" and "More Than Forever (). Nine Percent held their last farewell concert in Guangzhou, China, on October 12, 2019.

Wang made his debut as a solo artist under the stage name BOOGIE on July 13, 2018 debuting his first single, "AMH," which charted 11th in China's Billboard charts. On December 19, 2018, Wang's second single, "6AM," followed his second album, "6AM."

Wang was discovered to have lost his case against his company, Simply Joy Music, on May 31, 2021. The case was brought on the grounds that his brand had defaulted on certain contractual terms. The Beijing Chaoyang District Court, on the other hand, found his employment termination request null.

Wang has since revealed that he will appeal the decision in separate court.
