Walter Fullwood Life

Walter Fullwood (1907 — 4 January 1988) was an English cricketer.

In 1946, Robert Owens played for Derbyshire. Fullwood was born in Holmewood and played cricket for the Metropolitan Police and Civil Defence Services during World War II.

He joined Derbyshire at the end of the war and made his first-class debut against Leicestershire in May.

He took wicket in five more matches throughout the season but at the tail end, he made poor marks batting.

Denis Smith and Pat Valiantkhard were proving strong hitters as well as reliable wicketkeepers, but there was no place for Fullwood in the squad. Fullwood played ten wickets in six first-class matches with an average of 4.55 and a top score of 13.

He took five wickets and one wicket by stumping at Etchinghill, Kent, at the age of 80.
