Violetta Zironi (born April 5, 1995) is an Italian singer-songwriter. Half Moon Lane, her debut EP, was released on February 23, 2018.
Early years
Violetta Zironi was born in Correggio, Emilia Romagna, to comic book designer and screenwriter Giuseppe Zironi, who worked with Walt Disney Italia, RAI and Mediaset, and municipal clerk Annalisa Sansone. She first became interested in music at the age of three, when she sang of a local children's choir before beginning piano lessons.
Violetta began performing live in her early teens, playing guitar and singing, often joined by her father Giuseppe on harmonica and Oscar Abelli on drums, performing in local festivals and clubs. Luca "Jontom" Tomassini, who introduced Violetta to this instrument, was introduced to this instrument in 2012. Both of them appeared at the 2012 YOUkulele Festival in Rome, and Jontom wanted Violetta to appear on his EP Likelike Highway, which was released by the independent label Insomnia Records.
