Vincent Margera Career

Career

Margera came to fame after appearing on MTV's Viva La Bam, where he was commonly referred to as "Don Vito," a term used to describe him by his nephew Bam. The nickname referred to his almost inarticulate speech reminiscent of Don Vito Corleone of The Godfather, as well as celebrating the Margera family's Italian roots. He had appeared in sketches and videos with his family, the bulk of whom were released as part of the CKY series and some were later shown in Jackass.

The stunts involving Don Vito were omitted from Jackass Number Two's theatrical and DVD release, but several stunts were briefly shown in previews leading up to his detention. He was known as a non grata among the cast members for a brief period of time due to the allegations.

Margera appeared in Redman's music video "Put It Down" in which he portrays a police officer with Donnell Rawlings in early 2007. Vito and Ryan Dunn appeared in a Viva La Bam-like, direct-to-DVD film titled Dunn and Vito's Rock Tour, which was released on March 20, 2007.
