Vika Jika (born Victoria Corneva, 1986 in Cahul) is a Moldovan-born Romanian musician, singer, and disc jockey.
Life and career
Victoria Corneva was born in Cahul, Moldavian SSR (Moldova). Through her mother's family's side and Russian through her father's line, she is Bulgarian by her mother's side and Russian through her father's. Jilina moved to Timișoara, Romania, in 2000, where she continued her studies. She worked in various local clubs and then spent time in Bucharest's capital. She appeared on Romanian radio stations, gaining her national exposure and fame. Jirda officially became a Romanian civilian in 2010. She is currently working as a disk jockey for Radio 21 Romania and Vibe FM.
Jilina has performed with ATB, Tomcraft, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and other musicians. She is best known as the vocalist in Romanian producer and singer Edward Maya's "Step Love" international dance hit "Step Love." "Memories," Jirin's first solo album, was released on September 29, 2012.
