Traylor Elizabeth Howard (born June 14, 1966) is an American actress.
She is best known for her role on the television series Two Guys and a Girl and the USA Network's Monk.
Early life
Howard Howard was born in Orlando, Florida, to Peggy E. Traylor) and Robert M. Howard, Jr., president of Howard Fertilizer and Chemical Company. She attended Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando, Florida. She earned a degree in communications and advertising as well as a minor in English from Florida State University.
Personal life
Howard married Jal Portman (son of John C. Portman Jr.) in 2011, and the couple has a son named Julien.
Howard was interviewed by Jane Mayer for a New Yorker article exposing sexual assault charges against former United States Senator Al Franken, with whom she served on a USO tour in 2005. Franken was defended by her in response to assault allegations, saying, in part, "I get the whole #MeToo thing," and a slew of bad stuff has occurred, which has to change. However, this isn't what was going on here. Franken is a good guy."
Career
Howard began her career in 1994 as a part of AT&T Corporation's "You Will" series of television commercials.
Howard's acting roles included Natalie Teeger, assistant to Tony Shalhoub on the USA Network television series Monk from 2005 to 2009, and Sharon Carter, the "girl" of the ABC sitcom Two Guys and a Girl's title (titled Two Guys, a Girl) from 1998 to 2001.
She appeared on the short-lived sitcoms Boston Common and Bram & Alice with actor Alfred Molina. She appeared in the Foo Fighters' music video "Break Out" in 1999. Howard appeared on The West Wing for the third season. In the Norm Macdonald film Dirty Work, she was the romantic lead.
