Tony MacAlpine (born August 29, 1960) is an American singer and composer.
He has performed with numerous bands and musicians in guest appearances and collaborations during his career spanning three decades and thirteen studio albums, but he is best known as an instrumental rock solo guitarist.
Personal life
MacAlpine currently lives in Pasadena, California. He announced on Facebook that he may have contracted colon cancer, causing the cancellation of several dates on his tour to promote Concrete Gardens on August 25, 2015. "I have been feeling back to normal, and assessments indicate that all is well in medical land," he wrote on his personal website in August 2016. "You all have been so generous over the past 12 months."
In an interview with Herman Li, Tony claims that his wife died as a result of his recent discovery, and that his new album would help him to reclaim creativity.
