If Michael Maguire, New Zealand's coach, is 'Madge' snares vacant NSW Origin position, Kiwi league legend Tony Kemp wants him to be sacked

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 19, 2023
Tony Kemp (pictured right) a former Warriors coach has requested that Michael Maguire be fired as New Zealand's national coach if he does not fill the vacant NSW State of Origins position. Maguire (left) has been closely linked to the Blues job since Brad Fittler and NSWRL parted ways recently, but he has confirmed that he will continue assisting the Kiwis into the Rugby League World Cup in 2026. Kemp, who coached the Warriors between 2004 and 2005, is outraged by the situation, and believes that New Zealand Rugby League should never recruit an Australian coach again.
