Tom Simpson Life

Tom Simpson (born 7 January 1972) is a Scottish DJ and singer best known as the former keyboardist of the alternative rock band Snow Patrol.

He has been with Snow Patrol as a touring member since 1996, and in 2005, he became a permanent one.

In August 2013, he left the band due to his desire to do his own thing.

Personal life

In June 2006, Simpson was found guilty of smoking Class A drugs in Glasgow. He was arrested in RAF Northolt, Middlesex, on July 7, 2007, putting the band's headlining set (at T in the Park) in jeopardy. He was arrested at Heathrow Airport in London just hours after the band appeared on Live Earth, which made him miss the Oxegen 2007 show that night. Simpson's replacement had been needed, but he was released in time to play at T in the Park.

Simpson now lives in Monifieth, Scotland. He loves golf, and off tour, he can be found playing on the town's course. Dundee F.C.'s founder is also a dedicated fan. Despite the fact that his work has brought him to public notice, he continues to keep his anonymity.

Police were called after Daniel Reiner, 72, disappeared from his 1,837 acre estate north of Spokane on the evening of August 30, but a search was quickly abandoned as night fell. Cadaver dogs were drawn to the lake when the search resumed at first light and the 72-year-old's body was found in the 200ft deep waters at 3pm on August 31. 'We of course look if there are any signs of obvious trauma or anything along those lines that would be obvious to say there is foul play involved,' said Pend Oreille County Sheriff Glenn Blakeslee.

On Tuesday, millions of Australians will bet on the Melbourne Cup, with the majority of the funds going straight to the bookmakers. Many once-a-year punters begin to believe themselves as horse racing experts at this time of year, but picking the winner in the big tournament is notoriously difficult for even the experts. So, before you open a betting app, Daily Mail Australia has assembled a comprehensive archive of past winners, including their age, sex, color, height, weights, trainers, and jockeys. A true racing specialist has landed the horse he loves the most and has thrown in a few roughies along the way. Inset: Gai Waterhouse, the trainer, is pictured inset.
