Rita Ora Finally Unveils Her Sheer Lace Wedding Dress 1 Year Later

www.popsugar.co.uk, August 4, 2023
Better late than never. Just one year after Rita Ora and Taika Waititi quietly tied the wedding dress in Los Angeles on Aug. 4, 2022, the couple shared never-before-een snapshots from the couple's magical wedding day with Vogue, providing a first glance at Ora's stunning wedding gown. The singer selected a sheer lace one-shoulder gown that's right in line with her edgy fashion sense at Tom Ford's fall 2020 runway preview. The dress was made of see-through netted fabric with lace appliqué in contrasting animal prints, and large white bows were embellished both the waist and shoulder. Ora told Vogue, "I was looking for something that was going to be unique and a little unexpected." She had been keeping an eye on the style for years, and after spotting it in a Tom Ford store in her exact size, she knew it was meant to be.

Lupita Nyong'o's Custom-Moulded Breastplate Sends a Strong Message About Body Acceptance

www.popsugar.co.uk, June 13, 2023
At the 2023 Tony Awards, Lupita Nyong'o unveiled a new spin on the "naked" fashion style. For the 11 June service in New York City, the actor wore a silver breastplate cast from a mould of her own body. Misha Japanwala, a fashion designer, created the custom piece, which covered Nyong'o's entire backbone and was largely backless, save for a chain around her neck. Nyong'o paired the eye-catching top with black wide-leg trousers and a velvet tuxedo jacket she threw over her shoulder when posing confidently on the red carpet, with advice from celebrity stylist Micaela Erlanger. She finished the look with a henna tattoo, diamond stud earrings, and a metallic manicure that matched her breastplate. Nyong'o posted the deeper meaning behind her artistic outfit on Instagram, describing it as a "shameless out-of-body experience" to wear it at the Tonys, according to the artist. "Honored, humbled, improved, and energized to wear this breastplate by @mishapanwala, which she cast and molded of my body," the actress wrote. "Misha Japanwala, a Pakistani artist and fashion designer, whose work is rooted in the opposition and deconstruction of external shame attached to one's body." She creates a realistic and true record of a person's body as an act of resistance and celebration as well as an insistence on human beings to live freely in our bodies."

On the front page of British Vogue, Miley Cyrus wears a figure-Sculpting Cutout Bodysuit

www.popsugar.co.uk, May 19, 2023
Miley Cyrus graces the cover of British Vogue's June 2023 issue, marking her first sit-down interview since the release of her eighth album, "Endless Summer Holiday." Steven Meisel, the 30-year-old singer, was photographed in chief by editor in chief Edward Enninful, a blend of bodysuits and archival minidresses from Tom Ford's likes and YSL curated with the assistance of Bradley Kenneth. On what is perhaps the most striking cover, she sports a laser-cut Ala bodysuit that plops at the neckline and sculpts her silhouette, framing her tattoos as she is mid-dance-move. As the finishing touch, a floor-length mesh jacket and caged heels, also by Alaa, perform the final touch. Cyrus admits that — at least in the green Prada set she wears on the alternative cover — she stepped a little outside of her comfort zone. In an accompanying "Life in Looks" video, Edward Enninful, who has been a very good friend of mine for years and years, "I was able to collaborate on the styling," she says. "We've shot at so many times in my life." I know I don't want to just pull off a rack or wear clothing that can be gifted to just about anyone." "There's your comfort zone, your learning zone, and your panic zone," Cyrus says, "I don't like to live in fear." It was a little outside of my normal routine. I wasn't entirely in control. However, it's also important to let go occasionally. I'm the boss 364 days out of the year, so I'm really confident that if I give Steven Meisel one day that it will produce a result that I'm proud of."
