Tom Arnold Life

Thomas Duane Arnold (born March 6, 1959) is an American actor and comedian. Mr. 3000 (2004), Madea's Witness Protection (2011), and Nine Months (1995), True Lies (1994), McHale's Navy (1994), The Greatest Funeral (2006), Mr. 3000 (2004), Born in 1998, Mr. 6000 (2004), and Madea's Witness Protection (2011).

For four years, he was also the host of The Best Damn Sports Show Period.

Early life

Arnold was born Thomas Duane Arnold of Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Linda Kay (née Graham) and Jack Arnold. He had two siblings: Lori and Scott, and a brother Lori. As an infant, Tom Arnold was diagnosed with autism. When he was a child, his mother abandoned the family, and his siblings were raised by their father:

Arnold and his sister went back to their mother in their teens. Lori was married at age 14 to a man who was 23 years old with her mother's permission. She was already a heavy opioid user and dealer operating one of the Midwest's largest methamphetamine operations before her arrest in 1989.

Arnold, on the other hand, appears to have saved his sister's fate and worked at a meatpacking plant. He attended Ottumwa High School, Indian Hills Community College, and the University of Iowa, 1981 to 1983, where he concentrated on business administration and writing.

Personal life

Roseanne Barr was a comedian who appeared at his theater in 1983. His friendship was tumultuous due to his alcoholism and heroin use, but eventually, he became sober. The two married in 1990 and divorced in 1994. Arnold argued why he divorced Barr without receiving any alimony in an interview on Anytime with Bob Kushell in April 2009. Arnold married two times in the next ten years. Both marriages ended in divorce. Arnold broke his scapula in a motorcycle accident on the Pacific Coast Highway in August 2008.

Arnold married Ashley Groussman in Maui over Thanksgiving weekend 2009, attracting 75 people. Dax Shepard was Arnold's finest man. On the late night talk show Asia Uncut, he appeared on December 10, 2009. The couple has two children and four dogs. The couple revealed their intention to divorce in January 2019. In July 2020, the divorce was finalized.

Arnold was raised a Methodist. According to some, he converted to Judaism after marrying Roseanne Barr in 1990, but in a podcast interview with Andrew Santino, he talks about growing up Jewish in Iowa. He still practices Judaism.

Arnold taped a phone call with Michael Cohen in 2019 where Cohen revealed his complicity in the cover-up of a controversy involving Jerry Falwell Jr., his wife, and a pool boy.

For the first time in 28 years, Tom Arnold, his brother Scott, and sister Lori reunited in Ottumwa, Iowa, on October 8, 2020. Lori was filming Queen of Meth, a three-part docu-series that her brother Tom produced during this time. It tells of her time as the "queen-pin" of a huge drug corporation that she operated from Iowa to California. In May 2021, Queen of Meth was first introduced on Discovery+.

Tom Arnold Career

Career

Arnold had "Tom Arnold and the Goldfish Review" in the early 1980s, which became a prop-based comedy routine. Roseanne Barr was hired as a writer for her television sitcom, Roseanne. After she divorced her first husband, she married her in 1990. Arnold introduced himself as the character "Arnie Thomas" in the show (a play on his name). Due to the couple's often eccentric behavior, their marriage attracted media and especially tabloid interest. Arnold appeared in his own sitcom The Jackie Thomas Show in 1992. The show lasted 18 episodes after Roseanne on ABC.

Arnold and Barr bought a house in Eldon, Iowa, where they opened 'Roseanne and Tom's Big Food Diner' nearby. The diner served loosemeat sandwiches based on the Real Life Canteen Lunch Box on Roseanne, which was in turn based on the real-life Canteen Lunch Box. Both appeared in the 1993 film The Woman Who Loved Elvis, which was shot in Ottumwa. In 1994, Arnold and Barr divorced due to irreconcilable differences. In 1995, the restaurant was closed.

Arnold's divorce from Barr resulted in his development as a Craftmatic Adjustable Bed animator and actor in numerous Craftmatic Adjustable Bed commercials that aired in 1995. During the taping, he filmed a commercial in Arnold that caught on fire and melted a strand of his underarm hair; the video was never released. "Me and Mike (Michael Jackson) (he was one of my closest friends) used to laugh about how [I] had a Pepsi commercial of my own," Arnold posted on Twitter in 2014.

Arnold appeared in "The Cage," a second-season Baywatch Hawaii episode.

Arnold said in a late 1990s interview with radio's The Howard Stern Show that his share of his and Barr's estate amounted to "over $20,000,000," including a portion of the Roseanne ABC-TV series, but did not elaborate, citing a confidentiality clause. In 1992, Arnold appeared as the sidekick to Arnold Schwarzenegger's character in James Cameron's action blockbuster film True Lies. He appeared on The Best Damn Sports Show Period from 2001 to 2005. Arnold was the voice of Arby's "Oven Mitt" commercials from 2003 to 2005.

In the 2005 film Happiness, Arnold had his first romantic leading man role. Arnold appeared in The Kid & I in the same year. He appeared on CMT's My Big Redneck Wedding from 2008 to 2011. In 2008, he hosted CMT's The Biggest Redneck Wedding Ever, where he served as the wedding planner and a photographer, as well as a couple who wanted to marry in a mud bog. The Clampet Family from Shreveport, Louisiana, was also featured in a three-series of "My Big Redneck Vacation," presented by Arnold.

Arnold's appearance in Gardens of the Night as a child molester sparked rumors that he had been a victim of sexual assault in his youth. He wanted to shed more light on the subject.

Tom Arnold was revealed as a celebrity contestant on the Australian version of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! He was the first to be evicted from the jungle after 17 days and was paid between $600,000 and $US700,000 for his service. Arnold filed a lawsuit against Network Ten and 'A List Entertainment' for defrauding him for being on a celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! Arnold claims he was promised a sum of $425,000 and a comedy tour in Australia. However, he was behind $140,000 in installments, and Network Ten has canceled out of the comedy tour.

The Hunt for the Trump Tapes premiered in 2018 in Arnold's Viceland, earning low ratings and mostly critical feedback. After one season, the program was cancelled.
