Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian musician, songwriter, and actor, born 5 February 1980.

Born in Isale Eko, she immigrated to London at the age of 11 for her secondary education.

She began her musical career as a backup vocalist for musicians like George Michael and Mary J. Blige five years ago.

Savage signed a publishing contract with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2009 after being involved in the UK version of The X Factor and graduating from Berklee College of Music.

Savage returned to Nigeria and signed with Mavin Records in 2012. Inspired by Nigeria's music industry's rise, he returned to Nigeria and signed with Mavin Records in 2012.

On the label's 2012 compilation album Solar Plexus, she performed Once Upon a Time.

Tiwatope Savage was born in Isale Eko, Nigeria, on February 5th. When she was 11 years old, her family moved to London. She performed trombone for her school's orchestra band when she was in secondary school. Savage obtained a degree in accounting from the University of Kent and began working at The Royal Bank of Scotland. She performed backup vocals for English singer George Michael at the age of 16, and she lent vocals to other artists, including Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, Blu Cantrell, Emma Bunton, Kelly Clarkson, Andrea Bocelli, and Ms. Dynamite. Savage graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2007 with a degree in professional music. When reminiscing about her stay there, she said she was inspired by the younger students' drive and passion. She also said she wanted the school's atmosphere.

Savage was able to advance to the final 24 in 2006 but he was the 12th person to be evicted. She had a tough time dealing with the limelight when participating. "You have to always remember that people are watching," she said. It was a sad moment for me when I learned I wasn't making it [to the final 12]. However, you'll still need to know how to keep it until you get home. Since you don't want to have everything out, you don't want to just let it out. People admire you and want to see that you're dependable; they don't want to see you breaking down.

Savage signed a publishing contract with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2009. Babyface, Kat Deluna, Fantasia, Monica, and Ma were among the writers who were allowed to write for Babyface, Kat Deluna, M.A. For her role in Monica's "Catch Me," she has received writing credit. In 2010, she received a Grammy nomination for her album "Collard Greens & Cornbread," which was an American recording artist's collaboration with Fantasia. Savage's rendition of "Arise, O Compatriots" for Ndani Sessions was on display in commemoration of Nigeria's independence, 52nd anniversary. She co-created with Waje, Praiz, Timi Dakolo, and Pamela Egoh on the Ovation Red Carol theme song "Better." In 2010, Savage began recording her debut studio album Once a Time. In May 2013, she held an album listening party at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Ikoyi. She unveiled the entire track list of the album and announced Iceberg Slim, Sarkodie, and General Pype as featured performers at the listening party. "49-99" features syncopated percussion, humming background harmonies, and crisp snares, describing it as a mash-up of Afrobeat, R&B, and pop music. The Meji Alabi-directed video for "49-99" showcases vibrant imagery and symbolism. One of the video's scenes refers to photographer Eliot Elisofon's iconic portraits of Congolese schoolgirls taken in 1972. Another scene, in which Savage is seen with long braids, is reminiscent of Diana Ross' flower-accented appearance from the late 1960s.

Savage performed "Attention" and the Pheelz-produced track "Owo Mi Da" on November 19, 2019; the Black Jheerze-produced track "Attention" and the Pheelz-produced track "Owo Mi Da" were released on November 19th. She admonishes her love for the lack of attention she is investing in their relationship, but she makes cut throat remarks at an unidentified borrower in "Attention." On "kó," a slow-burning ballad from Coldplay's eighth studio album Everyday Life (2019), Savage performed background vocals.
