Tinashe Career

Life and career

Tinashe Kachingwe was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on February 6, 1993, and is the eldest child of college professors Michael and Aimie Kachingwe. Her father is a professor who teaches acting at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a first generation Shona immigrant, while her mother, who is Danish, Norwegian, and Irish descent, teaches physical therapy at California State University, Northridge. On a blind date during their time as undergrads at the University of Iowa, her parents met each other on a blind date. In the Shona language, Tinashe means "We have God (or God is with us). Thulani and Kudzai are her two younger brothers. When she and her family were eight years old, she and her family immigrated to Los Angeles, California. She attended Crescenta Valley High School for a year before deciding to pursue a career in music full-time early. She was bullied by her peers at high school. She began studying ballet, tap, and jazz dancing at the age of 4, and then continued to compete in various styles as a member of a dance company until she was 18.

Tinashe appeared in a number of television shows, films, and children's films in the early 2000s, including the films Cora Unashamed (2000), Masked and Anonymous (2003), and two television series: Rocket Power (2004) and Avatar (2006). These led to a regular appearance on Cartoon Network TV series Out of Jimmy's Head in 2007–2008, as well as a regular appearance on Two and a Half Men in 2008.-2009. Despite being uncredited in the poorly received Masked and Anonymous film, Roger Ebert observed at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival premiere "the one performer in the film's premiere was applauded; it was a young black girl named Tinashe Kachingwe, who sings 'The Times They Are A-Changin'' with such ferocious and conviction that she is like a master class." "I had been asked to act as an advisor on this film," he said.

Tinashe joined the Stunners, a girl group founded by Vitamin C. Marisol Esparza, Allie Gonino, Hayley Kiyoko, and Kelsey Sanders were among her bandmates. The group signed Columbia Records and later signed a production contract with Lionsgate Entertainment for a scripted television show on MTV, six months after its inception, and later signed a production contract with Lionsgate Entertainment. "Bubblegum," the songwriter and video were released on March 18, 2009. The group released a five-song EP in October, inspired by artists such as Madonna, Gwen Stefani, and Rihanna. On February 22, 2010, their promo single, "We Got It," was released, and they performed the song on The Today Show and The Wendy Williams Show. They dropped "Dancin' Around the Truth" after signing with Universal Republic Records in 2010. The music video premiered on June 2, 2010, just before the group was announced as an opening act on Justin Bieber's My World Tour.

The Stunners returned to the recording studio after the Bieber tour but the band was disbanded in 2011, and Tinashe began seeking a solo career. Tinashe "bought a bunch of bits, a camera, and microphones" and began to learn how to record and mix music after the Stunners disbanded, and began to teach herself how to record and mix music. In her bedroom studio, she wrote and recorded songs. With Pro Tools and Final Cut Pro, she created beats with Logic Pro, as well as edited her own music videos. Tinashe refers to YouTube as her "teacher."

Boss, the mixtape's last single, was released on August 20, 2012, after the song was featured in a single of VH1's Single Ladies. The song's music video was self-directed by the artist. The mixtape was well-reced by the blogosphere.

Reverie, her second mixtape, after the signing, was announced on September 6, 2012 via her official website, following her signing. The second edition, "Ecstasy," was released on December 18, 2012, and the final, "Who Am I Working For?" "On March 12, 2013 was the unveiling of a book." The VMAs are all about the actress Trends, From Selena Gomez to Megan Thee Stallion

www.popsugar.co.uk, September 13, 2023
The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet revealed what we've been hearing for months: naked dresses are far and away this year's biggest style trend this year. On Tuesday evening, the 2023 MTV VMAs opened at the Prudential Centre in Newark, NJ, with hundreds of the industry's most well-known celebrities stepping out in sheer looks. This year, naked dresses have ruled fashion, both on the runway and the red carpet. Although the see-through silhouettes aren't particularly new — particularly at the VMAs — they've quickly become more mainstream among Hollywood's top celebrities, especially Miley Cyrus's metallic look from 2015 or Megan Fox's iconic dress from the 2021 premiere.

Bantu Knots Prove the Hairstyle's Versatility Tinashe's Bantu Knots Prove the Hairstyle's Versatility

Tinashe has arrived at the American Music Awards in style. On the red carpet in two of logomania Marc Jacobs sunglasses, the singer commanded all attention, but it was her Bantu knots that stole the show. Tinashe chose mini bantu knots instead of traditional squares by using triangular pieces to distinguish each twist. Although no additional hairpieces were added, the hairstyle gave her a swanky look to her two-piece ensemble, a finish that was only heightened by the sky-high platforms she was also wearing.

Any Head-Turning See the AMAs. Dove Cameron, Sabrina Carpenter, and Everybody Knows About The AMAs

www.popsugar.co.uk, November 21, 2022
Edgy was the vibe on the 2022 American Music Awards red carpet, staged at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 2022. Both Dove Cameron and Tinashe arrived in similar Marc Jacobs looks early in the evening, plucked from the designer's autumn/winter 2022 runway. Cameron, 26, opting for a denim cargo style skirt with a puffer tied around the waist, and Tinashe, 29, opting for a more tailored, low-slung style with a thin leather belt loop affixed to the waistband. Although Cameron's statement included two long, thin braids; an exaggerated cat-eye; and black, white, and black snake-effect nails, which she flaunted with every pose, Tinashe displayed Jacobs' huge, logofied sunglasses and knotted space buns, a look popular in the late 1990s and a dramatic revival. Becky G's black velvet LBD may have come with a satin train and matching bow sat at her shoulder, but the sophistication of the work was tempered by a robust patent platform, vividly drawn lips, and a textured messy bun. All the stars seemed to have the memo to dress with undeniable fearlessness and bold personality from Sabrina Carpenter's sequin fringe two-piece set to Karrueche's sculptural Christian Siriano gown with a plunging neckline and velvety wings extending behind her.
