Tim Malchak (born June 25, 1957 in Binghamton, New York) is an American country music singer-songwriter. * Malchak formed Malchak & Rucker in 1982 after he worked with Dwight Rucker to create the country music duo Malchak & Rucker. "Just Like That" debuted on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in 1984 as the first black/white pair in country music history with a charting single. Malchak began a solo career after the duo disbanded in 1986. * Alpine Records released his debut album, Colorado Moon, in 1987, and its title track became his first Top 40 single. "Reality Angel" — the self-penned, followed as part of his upcoming album, American Man — was his second top 40 hit, and I t was released in 1988. "It Goes Without Saying," the album's second single on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, topped at No. 2nd place, despite peaking at No. 62. 35. * Malchak signed with Jimmy Bowen's Universal Records for the debut of his third album, Different Circles.
