Tilian Pearson Career

Career

Pearson formed Tides of Man, a progressive rock band made up of lead guitarist Spencer Gill, rhythm guitarist Adam Sene, bass guitarist Alan Jaye, and percussionist Josh Gould at the time. Empire Theory, the band's debut full-length studio album, was released by Rise Records in September 2008 with producer Matt Malpass. Dreamhouse, the duo's sophomore studio album, was also released in 2010. Through a message on Myspace, he revealed that he had resigned from the band on December 20, 2010. Tides of Man has developed into an influential and progressive rock band with little to no vocal use in their latest music, since Pearson's demise.

Pearson resigned from Tides of Man in December 2010, the singer revealed he was working on material with American post-hardcore band Saosin. Alex Rodriguez and Beau Burchell, two members of the band, reached out to Pearson and requested that he record a demo, to which he agreed and recorded "Promises." Pearson travelled to California for rehearsals in January 2011 and decided to record more material with Saosin. Pearson was subsequently invited to record vocals for their third studio album, but the group was not able to perform with the group. Pearson's album never came to fruition due to his dedication to touring with Emarosa and his band Archives. Saosin went on to go on a permanent hiatus, later rejoining with original lead vocalist Anthony Green. Pearson explained why his Saosin friendship fell apart in a 2013 interview. "They brought me out to California, where I did a slew of exercises and filmed five demos." A few months later, I returned to write some stories. Time has just pushed and stretched after that. For almost two years, it was a complete mystery. Every few months, they would send me demos. During this time, I also toured with Emarosa and spent a few months of writing and recording demos with them. "It's not until I was recording the music video for "Up in the Air" from my solo venture that Saosin told me they were definitely going to do something innovative."

Emarosa, an American post-hardcore band, announced the departure of lead vocalist Jonny Craig in April 2011. Pearson, who had just left his band Tides of Man, had been invited to fly with the group for the remainder of the 2011 tour dates. Pearson performed many demos with the band during his time with Emarosa. Pearson was no longer associated with Emarosa in February 2012.

Following Jonny Craig's departure on August 21, 2012, it was speculated that Pearson would continue as a touring member to pursue clean vocal duties for Dance Gavin Dance. Despite the fact that Pearson was composing his full-length album Material Me (2013), he later became a permanent member. Pearson recorded vocals on his band's fifth studio album, Acceptance Speech, which was released on October 8, 2013, a record label he previously signed to with his former band Tides of Man.
