Tichina Rolanda Arnold (born June 28, 1969) is an American actress, comedian, and singer.
She began her career as a child actress (1986) and How I Got to College (1989) before being cast as Pamela "Pam" James on the FOX sitcom Martin, which she appeared on from 1992 to 1997.
Arnold appeared in Everybody Hates Chris from 2005 to 2009, and portrayed Judi Mann in the TV Land original sitcom Happily Divorced from 2011 to 2013.
Cassie Calloway appeared on Survivor's Remorse from 2014 to 2017.
Arnold is now Tina Butler in the CBS sitcom series The Neighborhood, which has been on display since 2018.
Early life
Arnold was born in Queens, New York City, to a working-class family. Diane Arnold, the mother of her child, was a sanitation worker, and her father, Gene Arnold, was a police officer. She was born in the Church of God in Christ. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.
Personal life
Arnold formed "China Moon Rags," a design headgear, in 1998. The headbands were made of Swarovski crystal-embroidered bandanas. Vivica A. Arnold married DaRico Hines, a former Golden State Warriors assistant coach, in Honolulu, Hawaii, on August 18, 2012. Arnold's rep confirmed that she and Hines were divorcing in January 2016. Career
Arnold appeared as Crystal, one of three chorus girls in Frank Oz's film musical "The Shop of Horrors (1986), as well as future Martin co-star Tisha Campbell. Arnold was just sixteen years old at the time of filming, and her career followed steadily after that, with a film or two about a Mall (1991). Arnold made her first big break on television in February 1987 with a permanent appearance on Ryan's Hope. Zena Brown, a young heroine, was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 1988. She remained in the role until the series's end in January 1989. On the ABC-TV daytime drama All My Children, Arnold was cast as Sharla Valentine, a high-school friend of Emily Ann Sago (played by Liz Vassey). She stayed in the role until 1991.
Pamela James, a well-known television presence on Martin Lawrence's sitcom Martin (1992-1997), was Arnold's most well-known television role. Nicole Barnes appeared on the sitcom One on One. She was reunited with Martin Lawrence in Big Momma's House in 2000. In the big screen road comedy/buddy film Wild Hogs, she reunited with Lawrence (this time as his character's wife).
