Theresa Becker Wayman (born June 23, 1980), also known as TT, is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and occasional actress, best known as the guitarist and vocalist of the indie rock band Warpaint.
Early and personal life
Theresa was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon. At age 9, she began "jamming with [her] dad" on guitar. At the age of 10, her mother encouraged her to play piano. Wayman has said that she "dabbled in guitar as a youth; then became really serious about guitar and drums when [she] was about 21 years old." Wayman's musical influences from childhood and adolescence include Talking Heads, Cyndi Lauper, Tina Turner, Jimmy Page, and Björk. Wayman met Emily Kokal, with whom she would later form Warpaint, during her adolescence. Both travelled through Europe in their late teens and spent together in New York City and Los Angeles.
Wayman has one son, who was born in 2005. She has expressed delight in saying that since becoming a mother, she is "more inspired," she has said, and her life has been more enriching in a certain sense. Music career
Wayman created Warpaint on Valentine's Day 2004 with Kokal and sisters Jenny Lee Lindberg and Shannyn Sossamon, who relocated to Los Angeles. The band spent four years touring Los Angeles and writing original material before releasing Exquisite Corpse, the band's debut EP, in August 2008. Following a series of lineup changes in 2009, including Wayman's recruiting drummer Stella Mozgawa—Warpaint unveiled The Fool, its debut studio album on Rough Trade Records in October 2010. Critics were extremely impressed with the album, which debuted at No. 83. 176 on the Billboard 200, and charted in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Wayman also served as a member of Vincent Gallo's backing band for a short time in 2005. "I was so sorry when Warpaint split up" and was excited to continue playing. We were supposed to continue playing, but Warpaint brought them right together, and I had to deal with it. "Warpaint is my heart and soul."

Film career
Wayman appears in two feature films and two short films occasionally. She appeared in a small role in The Rules of Attraction in 2002, alongside late bandmate Sossamon. J.T. was later on stage as she portrayed J.T. In Burke Roberts' 2006 short film Insult to Injury, Sam Goldberg and Ada produce Rift, a 2004 short film. Wayman appeared in Pete Smalls Is Dead in 2010, portraying Saskia as "a laconic femme fatale."
