Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul (born February 27, 1996), better known by his stage name Ten, is a Thai musician, rapper, dancer, choreographer, and influencer based in South Korea and China.

He is currently a member of NCT and its Chinese subunit WayV, as well as SM Entertainment's SuperM.

Early life

Ten was born in Bangkok, Thailand, on February 27, 1996, to a Thai Chinese family. He attended Shrewsbury International School.

Ten Ten years ago, Ten competed on the Thai show Teen Superstar under the stage name TNT. He won and gained the opportunity to work with the South Korean company Starship Entertainment, but his family refused to encourage him to leave. After passing an SM Global Audition in Thailand, he joined SM Entertainment in 2013.

Personal life

Ten is multilingual, and he speaks Thai, English, Korean, and Mandarin. After struggling to pass the physical examination due to his prior injury and knee surgery, Ten received a special exemption from Thailand's compulsory military service in 2018.

Career

Ten was introduced on December 24, 2013, as a member of SM Rookies, a pre-debut team made up of trainees for SM Entertainment. In 2014, he and his future cohorts appeared on Mnet's Exo 90:2014, a program starring labelmates Exo, where they danced to K-pop songs from the 1990s to modern pop hits. He was also involved in the "To Mother" music video reimagining in G.o.d. Ten and Jaehyun competed in the Hope Basketball All-Star with SM Town in July 2015, a charity match organized by the Hope Basketball All-Star Organizing Committee.

On April 3, 2016, Ten was announced to debut alongside Jaehyun, Mark, Taeyong, and Doyoung as NCT U, the first sub-unit of SM Entertainment's then-upcoming boy group NCT. The rotational unit debuted with the digital single "The 7th Sense," which was released on April 8. It was the first time NCT was available in the United States. Ten performed in Mnet's dance competition show Hit the Stage with Hyoyeon of Girls' Generation, Taemin of Shinee, Momo of Twice, and others. On the sixth episode, he competed with dance crew Prepix to win the uniform competition. Ten appeared in Real Class: Elementary School Teacher, which showed international K-pop idols learning the Korean language from elementary students, hosted by Kang Ho-dong in January 2017.

Ten performed his first solo digital single as part of SM The Performance and the SM Station's season two entitled "Dream in a Dream" on April 7, 2017. On April 6, 2018, he concluded the season with the single "New Heroes" — his first appearance at the SM Town Live World Tour VI in Dubai that day. According to Billboard World Digital Song Sales, the songs peaked at number five and four on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, respectively. In NCT's first studio album, "Dream in a Dream" was included, "Dream in a Dream." Ten also appeared in NCT U's single "Baby Don't Stop," a duet with Taeyong, and joined the rest of NCT 2018 for the dance-focused single "Black On Black."

Ten was confirmed to join WayV, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment, along with Kun, Winwin, Lucas, Hendery, Yangyang, and Yangyang on December 31, 2018. The group debuted on January 17, 2019 with the digital extended play (EP) The Vision and Chinese versions of NCT 127's "Regular" as its lead single.

The Food Truck Battle began on July 16, 2019, with Ten as the MC. On the show's official YouTube channel, the show also had a week-late broadcast. Nam Tae-hyun, Park Ye-eun, Kitty Chica, and James Teeradon were among the Thai and Korean celebrities included in the programme. Ten of EXO, Baekhyun and Kai of EXO, Taeyong, and Lucas as a member of SuperM, a male K-pop supergroup formed by SM Entertainment and Capitol Records with a primary focus on the American market, was announced in August. On October 4, 2019, the band unveiled their self-titled debut EP, becoming the first Asian artist to debut on the US Billboard 200 for a debut. They toured North America, Latin America, and Europe from November 2019 to February 2020.

SM Entertainment announced in September 2020 that all NCT services will unite to create NCT's NCT 2020 Resonance, which will be released in two separate parts. Ten appeared in the first part of the B-side tracks "Faded In My Last Song" as a member of NCT U and "Nectar" with WayV. Ten was the only one to compete in both championship bands, "90's Love" and "Work It" in the second segment.

"Paint Me Naked" was Ten's third solo album under the SM Station banner on August 10, 2021. Ten debuted on August 17 as a member of WayV's second sub-unit, WayV-Ten & Yangyang, with a single titled "Low Low." Ten appeared as a special judge for the wild card round of the fourth season of the dance competition show Street Dance of China on October 25, 2008. Ten years later, he appeared on the recording of NCT's third studio album Universe, which was released on December 14.

Ten is back as the MC of Food Truck Battle Season 2. Yangyang of WayV, Woodz, Janistar Phomphadungcheep, Prem Warut, and Boun Noppanut will premiere on Channel 8 on October 2 in September.
