Ted Nash, an Olympic medalist, is a man who assaulted Jennifer Fox as the woman who assaulted her at just 13 years old

Jennifer Fox, the woman who revealed her experience of being sexually assaulted by her 40-year-old rowing coach at the age of 13, has named the perpetrator who sparked her autobiographical Emmy-nominated film. Fox said in a recent interview with The New York Times, Olympic medalist and rowing coach Ted Nash was the one who assaulted her as a youth. 'The mature part of me wants to move forward, but the child in me, she wants to confront him and get it over with and name him,' Fox explained. "I will not let you sleep until you mention him," says the author. Nash died in 2021 at the age of 88, and Fox told the New York Times that it was reading his 'glowing' obituaries that pushed her to come forward. Laura Dern, Jason Ritter, and Elizabeth Debicki, actress of Fox's 2018 made-for-TV film 'The Tale,' depicted her life and was nominated for an Emmy, several Independent Spirit Awards, and a Golden Globe.
