Liam Payne was a proud father who was determined to keep his young son Bear out of the public eye before his sudden death. The former One Direction member, 31, reportedly fell from the third floor of CasaSur Palmero Hotel in Buenos Aires shortly after 5pm on Wednesday evening.  He welcomed his seven-year-old son with Cheryl Cole in March 2017 and recently gave fans a rare update on the young boy.

He may well be the most important person in Cheryl Cole 's life, but young son Bear Payne is still the most rarely seen - at least until recently. Eagle-eyed fans spotted the seven-year old onstage with his famous mother in May, as the newly reformed Girls Aloud prepared for a soundcheck at Sheffield Arena. Grainy TikTok footage captured a tracksuit-clad Cheryl hand-in-hand with Bear - her only child with former boyfriend Liam Payne - as she gazed out at the empty venue. As always, the child's face was obscured from view, in keeping with the singer's desire to protect his anonymity - a tradition she has doggedly maintained since his birth.

On Tuesday's episode, the Chase viewers were left raging because one of the players was unfairly treated unfairly. In the latest episode of the ITV show Beth, Suzanne, Matt, and Dave all battled it out against chaser Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty. After being tumultuous in the first round, Head Teacher Dave became the first contestant to earn £7K for his team.
