Taylor Michel Momsen (born July 26, 1993) is an American singer, guitarist, model, and former actor.
She is best known for portraying Jenny Humphrey on The CW's teen drama series Gossip Girl (2007–2012) and Cindy Lou Who in the film How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). She became well-known for her role as the frontwoman of the American rock band The Pretty Reckless after her retirement from acting.
Early life
Momsen was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Michael and Collette Mumsen's parents are married, and she has a younger sister, Sloane Momsen, who is also an actress. She has ancestry from Russia. She was raised Roman Catholic and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School for elementary school and later Herbert Hoover Middle School in Potomac, Maryland, but is now non-religious. She also studied ballet at the Center of Performing Arts (COCA) in St. Louis.

In an interview with OK, Momsen revealed in March 2009. The Pretty Reckless band from Inception Records had signed a Interscope Records contract, according to a magazine.
