Taylor appeared and performed in the Ross Petty pantomime Snow White & The Group Of Seven, as well as Glass Tiger frontman Alan Frew.

Taylor became obsessed with singing and songwriting after being given an Elton John songbook at the age of 12. Taylor was a Top 40 finalist on Canadian Idol as an adolescent. He continued to write music as a solo artist and for others in the years that followed. He has written, edited, and performed many songs for YouTube channel Super Planet Dolan, which has a fanbase of over 20 million views. Taylor also has had several independent 'demo's, as well as an 'Abravault' on his website that housed thousands of other demos, dictations, videos, songs, and others. Taylor was discovered by Jimi Hendrix producer Eddie Kramer, who insisted on working with Taylor after a spontaneous appearance at a music conference. In 2020, Kramer's album, as well as Taylor's additional production, was released. Taylor's lead single, "I Won't Put Up With It," features a music video that was largely edited and directed by Taylor.

Taylor also wrote the music and lyrics for The Beaver Den: A New Canadian Musical. Silverthorn Studio, a Toronto-based recording studio, co-creator/operator of The Song Creation Workshop, and co-creator/director of the workshop's best-selling book The Song Creation Formula, was written by Taylor.
