Anastassios "Tasos" Mitropoulos, born 23 August 1957, is a Greek politician and former football midfielder. Mitropoulos was born in Volos and began his football career with Aristo Petroupoli, a local team.
He joined Ethnikos Piraeus, where he spent five seasons.
He began his career with Olympiakos in 1981, winning three league championships and two Greek cup titles with the team. Mitropoulos also played for AEK, winning two league titles with them, and Panathinaikos, Olympiacos' fierce rivals, although only one game was played.
He returned to Olympiakos in 1997 for a final season, after retiring at nearly 41 years old.
Olympiacos fans gave him the nickname "Rambo." Mitropoulos was also a key national team player from 1978 to 1994, playing 76 games and scoring 8 goals.
