Tasma Walton (born 19 August 1973) is an Australian television and film actress.

Personal life

Walton has Aboriginal roots on her mother's side. Before 2004, Walton was in a seven-and-a-kind friendship with Danny Roberts. In October 2007, she began dating Rove McManus. On June 16, 2009, they married in Broome, Western Australia, in a private ceremony. Walton and McManus announced in September 2013 that they were expecting their first child. The couple's daughter was born in December 2013.

Acting career

Walton worked with local radio station 6GE and trained as a production assistant and copy writer in her home town. She was accepted into the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), but she was forced to leave after two years. She performed in a small Sydney theatre and was cast as the love interest of Ian Moss in Tucker's Daughter's music video on his 1989 debut album Matchbook. Walton appeared in Home and Away in 1995 as Rachel Watson.

In the 1996 police drama series Blue Heelers, Walton was cast as Dash McKinley. About halfway through Season 3, her character was introduced. Kim Trelor also appeared in the same film as Kim Trelor. Walton auditioned three times for the role of Dash. She appeared in William McInnes' second film (Nick Schultz) for the second time. Schultz yelled at Dash, and though some of the other actresses burst into tears, Walton responded by joking. In the same year, she made her film debut in Fistful of Flies. In mid-1999, her last episode of Blue Heelers, "The Full Circle," screened. Walton said she was leaving the series to pursue other acting opportunities and to be with her boyfriend in Sydney.

Water Rats, Sea Patrol, The Postcard Bandit, and Perdition have all appeared in a variety of film and television projects since being cast. She has also appeared in White Collar Blue and BeastMaster.

Walton appeared on City Homicide in the semi-regular role of criminal profiler Claudia Leigh in 2009. Walton had revived the cast of Home and Away in the recurring role of Jade Montgomery on July 27. She appeared on the program for two seasons.

Walton appeared on three episodes of Rake in 2016. She appeared on Cleverman both in 2016 and 2017. She appeared in Mystery Road in 2018, reuniting her role from the 2013 film of the same name. In 2020, she returned to season two.
