Usher's ex-wife wants to DRAIN Georgia's largest lake where boater struck her 11-year-old son

www.dailymail.co.uk, July 14, 2023
R&B singer Usher's ex-wife wants to drain Georgia's largest lake where her son was fatally struck by a jet ski in 2012 to 'prevent further tragedies'. Tameka Foster (left), 52, has collected more than 2,500 signatures for a petition imploring officials to 'drain, clean and restore' Lake Sidney Lanier, Georgia (right), to allow for safety improvements and the removal of hazardous debris. It comes after her 11-year-old son Kile Glover (left, centre) was struck and killed on the lake 11 years ago by Jeffrey Hubbard, a close friend of Kile's father Ryan Glover, as he was driving a jet ski in a 'reckless' way with no hands. Heavy traffic on the lake has caused more than 170 boating and drowning deaths between 1994 and 2018, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Ms Foster said: 'Draining, cleaning, and restoring Lake Lanier is not only necessary but also an opportunity to honour the memory of those who have lost their lives and prevent further tragedies.'
