Supla Life

Eduardo Smith de Vasconcellos Suplicy (born April 2, 1966), also known as Supla, is a Brazilian musician.

Early history

Supla began his music career at 13 years old, playing drums on "Os Impossibles" (The Impossibles). Later, he joined "Metropolis," as well as as a drummer.

Supla formed "Zigue-Zague," a 17-year-old Supla band in which he was the lead singer. The band shortened the name to "Tokyo" and began releasing punk-influenced writing. Supla went on to produce seven solo albums that have been well-received both commercially and critically. During a stay in New York City in 1995, he formed the band "Psycho 69," which had only released one album.

He released "Supla Só Na Loucura" on DVD in 2005 as a long-form biographical film, a live performance from the album "Menina Mulher" tour, and other extras.

Supla has performed cover songs with the punk Brazilian band Holly Tree. He has appeared in Zurich, Switzerland (Caliente Festival), London, MTV Europe), and Los Angeles, California (private shows/recording), where he was promoting his newest CD album, Vicious (December, 2006).
