Quorn is blasted by creator of 2003 viral cartoon 'Badgers' for 'blatantly ripping off' of his work

Quorn Foods UK has been embroiled in controversy after being accused of 'ripping off' animator Mr Weebl's famous 2003 badger meme in its new commercial. A group of badgers exercising in a field is shown by Mr Weebl's meme (pictured right) titled 'Badgers: animated music video', which follows the appearance of a mushroom and a snake.' The clip is accompanied by a catchy base tune, with a voiceover chanting what is on screen. Mr Weebl was dragged to MTV's notice thanks to the bizarre film. The Quorn Foods UK advert (shown left) was released online yesterday and showcases the company's latest uniquorn nuggets. In a similar fashion, a group of similarly drawn unicorns appears to be bopping to a song. In a style that closely follows the meme, a voiceover repeats "uni-quorn, uni-quorn." Jonathan 'Jonti' Picking, 47, brought them to court on Twitter. He posted: 'Who do I contact about the blatant ripping off of my copyrighted work this time?'
