Steve Inskeep (born June 16, 1968) is an American journalist who is currently the host of Morning Edition and Up First on National Public Radio.
Prior to being host of Morning Edition, Inskeep was NPR's transportation correspondent and the host of Weekend All Things Considered. Inskeep is the author of Instant City: Life and Death in Karachi, published in October 2011.
The book examines the changes associated with the dramatic growth of Karachi, Pakistan, in the second half of the twentieth century.

In January 2022, Inskeep interviewed former President Donald Trump on a variety of topics, including COVID-19 vaccinations, the 2020 presidential race, and the future of the Republican Party in particular, especially in the 2022 midterm elections. Trump hung up the phone interview after Inskeep pressured Trump with questions about the attempts to reverse the election results and the 2021 United States Capitol attack.
