Stefan Kendal Gordy (born September 3, 1975), better known by his stage name Redfoo, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer, record player, and DJ best known for his membership in the musical group LMFAO and their hit song, "Party Rock Anthem." In 2006, Redfoo and his nephew, Sky Blu, joined the pair together.

They had two studio albums before Redfoo went solo in 2013.

He is the youngest son of Motown Record Corporation founder Berry Gordy, Jr.

Early life

Gordy was born on September 3, 1975, to Berry Gordy Jr., the Motown record label's producer, and writer-producer Nancy Leiviska. His maternal grandfather was Finnish. He attended junior high school with will.i.am and GoonRock. In 1993, Gordy graduated from Palisades Charter High School in Pacific Palisades, California.

Personal life

Victoria Azarenka, the former number one ranked tennis player, started dating Redfoo in 2012, but the pair split in 2014. As a member of Azarenka's player box, he competed in the 2012 US Open, 2013 Australian Open, 2013 Wimbledon Championships, and the 2014 Australian Open. He began qualifying for the 2013 US Open as a wild-card athlete. In his first match, he advanced to the USTA Northern California Sectional qualifying tournament, losing 6–1, 6–2. Since 2018, Jasmine Alkouri, a chef and road manager who now lives with him in his mansion, has been dating him.

Redfoo's Party Rock clothing brand sponsored the Red Rock Pro Open, an ITF Women's Circuit tournament held in Las Vegas from 2012 to 2013. After giving Foo a lesson, Tyler Weeks, a tennis pro at Las Vegas, told Foo that his tournament needed a new sponsor, and Foo decided that Party Rock clothing would be the new sponsor. The festival is usually held at the end of September.

In 2017, Redfoo went vegan.

Redfoo's first major production credit for Los Angeles rapper Ahmad's song "Back in the Day" was released in 1994, as well as seven other songs on Ahmad's self-titled debut album. He signed with Bubonic Records in 1996, and he worked with Dre' Kroon on an album together. Balance Beam, a 1997 compilation, was released on October 10, 1997. "Life Is a Game Of Chess" and "The Freshest" were two Redfoo and Kroon singles released: From their album Behind the Front, he collaborated on "Duet" with The Black Eyed Peas in 1999. He also created Focused Daily for Defari. Figurgkidd released "I Gotta Know" as a single on 2004, which featured vocals from Redfoo and Tech N9ne. In Australia, the album reached number 50.

In 2006, he formed LMFAO with his nephew Sky Blu. The pair began generating buzz in their local markets through their television and radio performances. They had performed some demos, Redfoo's buddy will.i.am, who supervised them in signing Interscope/will.am Music. The demos looked like "finished records," according to Interscope A&R and Will.i.am's manager, and that no further artist development work was required, so little artist development was required. The album was released on March 18, 2016, receiving mixed reviews from music critics as well as being a commercial failure, with only 144 copies sold in Australia in its first week.
