Emoni Bates, an Eastern Michigan basketball player and NBA hopeful, has been arrested on gun charges west of Detroit. Bates, a Memphis transfer, was arrested after failing to stop at an intersection, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office. A gun was eventually discovered, according to police, and Bates was arrested. Bates, 18, has been charged with two felonies, including concealment of a weapon and altering the ID number on a rifle.
