Sithu Aye (born 26 June 1990) is a Scottish-Burmese guitarist, musician, and producer based in Scotland.
He began his career with the release of his first album, Cassini, in 2011, which was self-recorded and independently released.
He has released four full-length albums and five EPs.
His latest album, Homebound, was released December 17, 2018.
He has toured in Japan with Reflections and Protest The Hero, the UK and Europe with Skyharbor, the UK with Galactic Empire and the US and Canada with Haken.
Music career
Sithu Aye began playing guitar at the age of 12. Cassini's first album was written and produced in his university's dormitory using software amp modelers and his laptop. Subsequently, several of his following publications were written and recorded while studying Physics at University of St Andrews, including Invent the Universe, Isles EP, and 26. Sithu wrote and published his EP 26 over the course of four days, with the date being announced on June 26, 2013, his 23rd birthday as well as the day he obtained his Master's degree in Physics.
Sithu Aye served as a Technology Consulting Analyst with Deloitte until 2016. He wrote and recorded Pulse, Senpai EP, and Set Course for Andromeda during this time period. He revealed that after the former's arrival, he decided against working and pursuing a full-time career as a musician. Prote the Hero went on a Japan tour a month after quitting his job.
During 2018, he took a break from touring to write his book Homebound, which was released on December 17th of the same year and was sent by his supporters on patriot. In 2019, he headlined a tour in the United Kingdom in support of his album Homebound and toured Europe supporting Intervals. He also worked on a sequel to his Senpai EP collection, which was announced to be more of a full album this time and accompanied by a Visual Novel themed digital story book.
Sithu Aye's first single Time to Decide appeared on December 12, 2020, just over a year ago. On his YouTube channel, Senpai III, where he also announced that his latest album Senpai III would be released on January 8, 2021, except patriot, where it was also available for all supporters of a particular rank. Senpai III is the first full-length album of the Senpai series, and it is also scheduled to be the last. The album also stands out from his other albums due to the fact that it contains a digital novella rather than being the singular focus, as it tells a tale with each chapter being accompanied by the appropriately named song.
