Shaun Weiss (born August 27, 1978) is an American television and film actor.

Weiss was born in Montvale, New Jersey, but he started his acting career as Elvis on Pee-wee's Playhouse, but his breakthrough role came when he played Greg Goldberg in The Mighty Ducks.

Weiss was supposed to appear Atuk the Eskimo in the first Mighty Ducks film but the film was much bigger.

Josh Birnbaum appeared in the Disney film Heavyweights, his first two Mighty Ducks films.

On the short-lived NBC dramedy Freaks and Geeks, as well as some cameo appearances on American sitcom The King of Queens, he had a memorable run as a peripheral freak "Sean."

He appeared in commercials for Captain Morgan, Castrol, Verizon Wireless, and ESPN Mobile MVP.

Weiss appeared in Drillbit Taylor, as the school bus driver about the start of the film.

Early life

Weiss was born and raised in Montvale, New Jersey, and attended Pascack Hills High School. He is of Jewish descent.

Personal life

Weiss was sentenced to 150 days in the Los Angeles County Jail for petty theft in July 2017. Due to overcrowding, he spent just 12 days in prison. Weiss was arrested in Burbank, California, on August 2, 2017, for unlawful drug possession, methamphetamine, and was sentenced to 90 days in prison, five days after his release.

Weiss completed a drug court and is two years sober as of January 2022.

Weiss started his acting career as Elvis on Pee-Wee's Playhouse, but it wasn't until he was cast in The Mighty Ducks that he earned his breakthrough role. Weiss was supposed to appear Atuk the Eskimo in the first Mighty Ducks film but instead his role was extended.
