Shari Headley (born July 15, 1964) is an American actress and former model.

Headley is best known for her role as Lisa McDowell in the 1988 box-office hit romantic comedy film Coming to America.

Headley has appeared in films The Preacher's Wife (1996) and Johnson Family Vacation (2004).

Headley, the youngest of four children, was born in Queens, New York City. She is of Trinidadian descent. Headley began her modeling career in magazines such as Glamour and Mademoiselle.

Headley's daughter, actress/entertainer Christopher Martin, was married to actor/entertainer Christopher Martin, better known as "Play" from the hip-hop group Kid N' Play from May 1993 to June 1995.

Headley made her acting debut in 1985's episode of NBC's The Cosby Show. Headley appeared on Miami Vice, Quantum Leap, and Matlock later today. In 1988, she appeared in a leading role opposite Eddie Murphy in the romantic comedy film "Coming to America." The film was a box-office hit, grossing $288,722,301 around the world. Headley appeared alongside Louis Gossett, Jr. in the short-lived ABC drama series Gideon Oliver. She appeared in the Kojak television film festival later this year. Headley appeared in ABC daytime soap opera All My Children playing police officer Mimi Reed in 1991. She received the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series nomination but lost to Victoria Rowell in the 25th NAACP Image Awards. She appeared on All My Children from 1991 to 1994, then returned to the series in 1995 and 2005. Since leaving the soap, she appeared on New York Undercover, Walker, Texas Ranger, and Cosby. She appeared in the comedy-drama film The Preacher's Wife directed by Penny Marshall in 1996. Headley landed a leading role in the short-lived FOX drama series 413 Hope St., alongside Richard Roundtree in 1997. Headley received the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series nomination after just ten episodes, but the series was cancelled after only ten episodes, but the actress received the NAACP Image Award for her role.

Headley returned to daytime television in the early 2000s, starring Guiding Light (2001–2002) and The Bold and the Beautiful (2004–2005).
