He made his debut in Ananta Bhalobasha (1999) and established himself as one of Bengali cinema's most popular actors.

Khan has received various accolades, including three National Film Awards for Best Actor for Bhalo Ghor Bhor Bandha Jay Na (2010), Khodar Pore Ma (2012), and Eight Meril Prothom Alo Awards, as well as three National Film Awards for Best Actor for Bhalo Baslei Ghor Bandha Jay Na (2010), Khodar Pore Ma (2012). Early life

Shakib Khan was born in Ragadh, Muksudpur, Bangladesh, on March 28, 1979 as Masud Rana. Khan's ancestor is Maksudpur Upazila of Gopalganj district. Abdur Rab, his father, was a government service officer, and Nurjahan, his mother, Nurjahan, is a housewife. A sister and a brother are among his family's others. He grew up as a youth in Narayanganj district due to his father's work. During his training years, his father's work required the family to move from one city to another. In several interviews, he said he did not mind travelling and changing colleges. During his ninth grade, when he was living in Narayanganj with his family, he became interested in Martial arts. Since that, he has completed a course in Martial arts. He aspired to be a scientist or engineer as a child. He was a brilliant student with stellar success in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) exams, but dropped out of college after being invited to act in films. He had an interest in dancing as a child. Khan began working with film choreographer and actor Aziz Reza in 1995 and then completed a dance course under Aziz Reza. On a random visit to Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC), the only major studio of Bangladesh on a random visit with Aziz Reza, where he met a photographer who asked him to take part in a photoshoot, he was one day late in 1998. Film director Abul Khair Bulbul noticed Khan and asked him to appear in lead role in his film, which he accepted. Despite the fact that the film was not completed, it was still in progress. Shakib got married to film actor Ratri in 2008, according to a news paper in Bhorer Kagoj.
