Sevdaliza Career

Life and career

Alizadeh was born in Tehran, Iran, on September 1st. She is of Azerbaijani, Russian, and of Persian descent. At the age of five, she and her family migrated to the Netherlands. She returned home after receiving a basketball scholarship and then playing on the Dutch national basketball team for the 16th time. She went to college and earned a master's degree in communications. Sevdaliza is an advanced Persian, Dutch, English, French, and Portuguese.

Sevdaliza debuted her single "Clear Air" in March 2014 as well as a music video. "Sirens of the Caspian" and "Backseat Love" were subsequently followed, "Sirens of the Caspian" and "Backseat Love" were then released. Her extended play (EP), The Suspended Kid, was released in January 2015, a year and a half. "I discovered that those things that prevent me from social situations, not knowing your coach or your boss, or whatever, made me realize that I had to choose a different route." Sevdaliza and Rotterdam-based designer and frequent collaborator Mucky created the Suspended Kid. The industrial R&B "That Other Girl" was the last remaining track on the EP, and a music video for the last remaining track on the EP was released in September. "Marilyn Monroe," her second EP, Children of Silk, was released in June. The album has been described as trip hop and was accompanied by a music video that was released in March 2016. In November, Children of Silk were first introduced. The EP was inspired by Sevdaliza's textures, including skin, glass, and silk. Sevdaliza's short film The Formula in May, telling the tale of how "the agony of losing an unborn child ruined harmony in marriage and resulted in tragedy." The short film, directed by Emmanuel Adjei, features three songs by Sevdaliza, "The Formula," "The Language of Limbo," and "Mad Woman"; the former was released as a single in October. In the same month, a new single called "Time" was released. "Human" was the following month's new single as well as a music video. "Human," "Marilyn Monroe" and "The Language of Limbo" will be included on Sevdaliza's debut studio album, ISON.

In reaction to Executive Order 13769, Sevdaliza performed her first Persian-language song, "Bebin." "I could not rest my head in privilege in the face of an inhumane political environment," she said. To solidify, I wrote 'Bebin' in Farsi. I am steadfast in love. I choose to ignore mainstream media in this case because I have no interest in being part of a victimized story. Take this message without lights, camera, or action. I am only a messenger. There is no place for bigotry nor bigotry in the heart of love. A music video for "Amandine Insensible," which focuses on the limited roles women are expected to play in modern society, was released in February. "The story of Amandine explores the notion of 'identity' in a contemporary world that is quickly changing due to the disappearance of 'boundaries,' according to Sevdaliza. Amandine is everything you want her to be. An extreme reduction of everyday life, expressing a world where all emotions have dissipated. This makes you feel uncomfortable, paradoxically. Her life takes place in an infinite white space made up of minimal objects that represent various aspects of daily life." "Hero" was her second single from her debut studio album, ISON, in April. Comet ISON, a sungrazing comet, was released on the album in April 2017.

Sevdaliza debuted "Soul Syncable" in January 2018, the first track to be announced on the day of the super blue moon. Following Sevdaliza's debut album ISON, "Soul Syncable" is Sevdaliza's first song. "Human Nature" was released by the singer in February. "Soul Syncable" and "Human Nature" are two of her EP "The Calling," which was released in March.

In May, she released "Human," a Portuguese-language version of her song "Human," to celebrate and thank its 10 million viewers.

Sevdaliza released "Darkest Hour" on March 8, 2019, the start of a new musical chapter in her career. The following month, the non-album single "Martyr" was a hit.

"Oh My God," "Lamp Lady" and "Joanna" were among Sevdaliza's debuts in 2020, before announcing her second studio album Shabrang, which was released on August 28, 2020. "Human Nature" by Shabrang also appears on her 2018 extended play The Calling.
