Selah Sue (born Sanne Greet A. Putseys, 3 May 1989) is a Belgian singer and songwriter.

Selah Sue (2011), her debut album, was a huge success, with over 720,000 copies sold in Europe, including 320,000 in France.

Personal life

Selah Sue revealed in May 2014 that she had been suffering with depression in the Flemish talkshow "Reyers Laat." She admitted that she has been using narcotics since she was 18 years old. Antidepressants helped her become the person she is today, she said, and that it has aided her in achieving her success. She confessed to speaking in Flanders shortly after a documentary about antidepressant was broadcast. She showed her support for campaigns in Flanders to assist children who are depressed. "Te Gek"'s godmother was Ellen in 2016. A movement against Flemish schools will help young people cope with depression.

Selah Sue revealed that she was expecting her first child in October 2016, through a video on Facebook. She revealed in March 2017 that her first son, Seth, had been born. Mingus, her second son, was born in March 2019.

In 2021, she stopped antidepressants and began using magic truffles (VRTelevision 26/1/2022 and her new single "Pills").
