Sean Paul Francis Henriques OD (born 9 January 1973) is a Jamaican deejay, guitarist, and record producer. "Get Busy" and "Temperature" were the top-selling songs in the United States, and the majority of his albums had been nominated for the Grammy's Best Reggae Album, with Dutty Rock winning the award.

Early life
Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on January 9, 1973. Frances, a painter, is of English and Chinese Jamaican descent. In the 17th century, his paternal grandfather's Sephardic Jewish family immigrated from Portugal to Jamaica, while his paternal grandmother, Afro-Jamaican, was born in Portugal.
Paul was born as a Catholic, but he also attended the Hillel Academy in Jamaica. Many members of his family are swimmers. His grandfather was the first Sri Lankan men's national water polo team. Paul's mother was a butterfly swimmer while his father competed in long-distance swimming and was a member of the club in the 1960s. When Paul was 15, his father was arrested on suspicion of murder and sentenced to 15 years in prison; he was convicted for good conduct when he was 19 years old.
From the age of 13, to 21, Paul competed for the national water polo team, although he had to abandon the sport in order to start his musical career. He attended Wolmer's Boys' School and the College of Arts, Science, and Technology, which are now known as the University of Technology, where he was educated in commerce with the intention of pursuing a career in swimming.

In 2012, Paul married Jamaican TV host Jodi Stewart, a long-term partner. In August 2016, the couple was revealed that they were expecting their first child. Levi Blaze, Paul's son, was born on February 26, 2017. Remi, their second child, was born on August 20, 2019.
Career
Jeremy Harding, a former manager and producer, told him about a musician at a small open mic festival in Kingston who looked a lot like dancehall DJ and toaster Super Cat. When Paul came by his studio to ask for some assistance, he eventually met the singer. During the interview, Paul performed a vocal over Harding's beat track and created the song "Baby Girl" in the process. Paul used to hang out at the studio every day, and the pair formed on several more tracks. They discovered something good enough to get on the radio when they pressed "Infiltrate." Harding began to worry about his affairs as Paul began to attract local interest. He later told HitQuarters that his sponsorship of Paul's fledgling career led him to his appointment as "DJ, boss, road manager, and security guard." Paul appeared on stage in the 1998 film Belly. To the film's soundtrack, he led to a fruitful collaboration with DMX and Mr. Vegas, "Top Shotter." Paul's debut album, Stage One, was released on VP Records in 2000.
Paul continued his work with manager and producer Jeremy Harding in 2002, and after a joint venture deal with his label VP Records and Atlantic Records, he announced the release of his second album, Dutty Rock. The album was a global hit thanks to the success of the singles "Gimme the Light" and Billboard Hot 100 topper "Get Busy" and the Billboard Hot 100 topper, "Get Busy." At the 46th Annual Grammy Awards in 2004, Dutty Rock received the Reggae Album of the Year. "Get Busy" was also selected for the best Rap Song of the year. Paul was caught on Beyoncé's "Baby Boy" and Blu Cantrell's "Breathe," a chart that was a hit in Europe. Both helped to lift his name in the United States. Paul appeared in "Save A Life," a Shaggy film that also includes appearances from Elephant Man and Da'Ville, among other things. Shaggy, Paul, and others performed a benefit concert in an attempt to raise funds for a children's hospital. During the premiere of MNET's Big Brother Africa: All-Stars on July 18, he performed his songs "Temperature," "Hold My Hand," and "So Fine."

It debuted at number one in Switzerland, like its predecessor, "Got 2 Luv U," but it didn't debut at the top of the charts in Switzerland. Paul saw a commercial revival in his career throughout 2016 after being featured on three Australian singer Sia's most popular hit singles, girl band Little Mix, and classical crossover band Clean Bandit. Paul performed in the first ceremony of Pakistan Super League on February 6, 2016. Sia launched a remix of her song "Cheap Thrills" starring Paul on February 11, 2016.
