Kisean Paul Anderson (born February 3, 1990), better known as Sean Kingston, is a Jamaican-American singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer whose first album, Sean Kingston, was released in 2007.

Early life and education

Born Kisean Anderson of Miami, Florida, was the first of three children born to Janice Turner. When Kingston's family was six years old, they moved to Kingston, Jamaica. Kingston attended Ocho Rios High School in Ocho Rios for three years before emigring to the United States. Lawrence Lindo, a well-known Jamaican reggae producer, appeared under the stage name Jack Ruby.

Personal life

Kingston produced a Do Something campaign to inspire youth to be involved in their communities by establishing a Do Something club. In a PETA ad in 2010, he carried one of his dogs, encouraging people not to chain their dogs outside.

Kingston was involved in a near-fatal jet skiing crash in Miami, Florida, and was rushed to the hospital right away. In the crash, Kingston was fined $180 for a careless operation. He had started riding jet skis again by 2018 by this time.

Career

Kingston was discovered on YouTube by Matt Tobin of Beluga Heights Records and signed to the brand as part of a Sony collaboration agreement. J. R. Rotem, the HitQuarters label manager and producer, outlined this process with regard to Kingston:

Kingston recorded and released the single "Beautiful Girls" in May 2007, which was part of Epic Records and Koch Records. The album debuted at number one of the Billboard Hot 100's most popular songs. "Beautiful Girls" was a hit around the world, Canada, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The band stayed at the top of the UK Singles Chart for four weeks in the second world. Kingston was the opening act for Gwen Stefani's The Sweet Escape Tour in 2007 and for select dates on Beyoncé's The Beyoncé Experience tour, as well as on Beyoncé's The Beyoncé Experience tour. In 2008, he was one of Kelly Clarkson's opening acts on the Australian leg of his My December Tour.

Tomorrow was released on September 22, 2009. Former Fugee Wyclef Jean, RedOne (of recent Lady Gaga fame), and Sean R. Rotem were among the album's producers; J. R. Rotem, Sean's original mentor. He also performed the song "Miss Everything" for the UK girl-group Sugababes studio album Sweet 7, which was released in the United Kingdom on March 15, 2010. Kingston and DJ Khaled are among Bow Wow's latest single "For My Hood," a sequel to the film, The Lottery Ticket. He had a success in the O2 Arena, where Mumzy Stranger was assisting him.

T-Pain, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Flo Rida, Soulja Boy, Wyclef Jean, Akon, and Dr. Dre are among the album's tracks. "Eenie Meenie" is Justin Bieber's first single from the album, and it's also included on Bieber's My World 2.0 album. "Letting Go (Dutty Love)," Nicki Minaj's second single from the album, has a verse. It was released on iTunes on August 3, while the third is "Dumb Love" and was announced on iTunes September 8. "She Moves" Sean Kingston's latest song "She Moves" samples Irena Cara's "What a Feeling" from the film Flashdance. On December 21, 2010, a fourth single "Party All Night (Sleep All Day)" was released.

"Everyone" performed in the Official Theme Song of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games on North and South America. Jody Williams of South Africa, Tabitha Nauser (Asia), Briton Steve Appleton (Europe), and Australian Jessica Mauboy representing Oceania were among four other artists representing Africa. However, Kingston was unable to attend the Singapore Youth Olympics 2010 opening ceremony due to passport mismatches. Sean was invited to appear on "For My Hood" by Cash Money Records/former Bow Wowen, who was invited to perform with So So Def member Bow Wow. Bow Wow and DJ Khaled appeared on BET's television show 106 & Park the day after being announced.

Comedian Mike Epps and comedian Mike Epps appeared in a video in Los Angeles. Kingston, along with Jason Derulo and Bow Wow, competed in the Dubai Caribbean Carnival in November 2012. Back 2 Life, the company's cover art and track listing, as well as a releasing date of September 10, 2013, were among the preorders received on April 13, 2013.

He announced the release of the Made in Jamaica mixtape in March 2017, followed by the single "Chance" by Vybz Kartel.

He appeared with Giusy Ferreri of Italy on the vocal part of the Italian record label "Amore e capoeira" from Italian record producers Takagi & Ketra in 2018.

He and rapper Tory Lanez formed "Peace of Mind" together in 2019.

Triple The Mogul, a hip hop super agent, revealed the launch of the "Progressive Boxing League" in June 2020.

Kingston performed with "Darkest Times" on May 21, 2021, as well as announcing his forthcoming fourth studio album.

Kingston appeared on the vocal part of the album "Let Me Hold You" on December 31, 2021.
