Savio Vega Life

Juan Rivera (born August 10, 1964) is a Puerto Rican professional wrestler who is currently signed to Major League Wrestling.

He is best known for his participation in the World Wrestling Council, where he has won the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship three times and the WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Championship three times.

He worked for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), first under a mask as Kwang, during the 1990s.

Savio Vega, the future king of a Puerto Rican stable Los Boricuas, was later depicted by the artist. Rivera returned to Puerto Rico where he worked with Victor Quiones' promotion, the International Wrestling Association, where he competed for five titles, including the IWA Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship.

He was photographed in the first interpromotional picture between IWA and WWC in 2011.

Savio Vega Career

Professional wrestling career

Rivera was born and raised in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico. Live on World Wrestling Council Live shows how you can get connected to the wrestling industry as a security guard. After graduating from high school, he moved to Miami, Florida, where he tried out for the WWF. "TNT" was accepted and sent back to Puerto Rico to compete for the World Wrestling Council as "TNT," adopting a gimmick based on his martial arts experience and including several elements of stereotypical Hispanic gimmicks. "El Profe" ngel Pantoja Rivera, and he first feuded with Chicky Starr. He won his first title, the WWC North American Heavyweight Championship, on May 2, 1987, defeating Miguel Pérez. On July 11, he became a dual champion, winning the WWC World Tag Team Championship with Mr. Pogo and retaining it for nineteen days. He and Abdullah the Butcher of All Japan Pro Wrestling came to an end last year, losing to Hiroshi Wajima and Giant Baba. When the masked El Corsario was deposed early in his career at Mid-South Wrestling, he sparred him.

TNT lost the North American title to Abdullah the Butcher on January 30, 1988. He captured the WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Championship from Hercules Ayala on June 18. Buddy Landel was given the lance two months later. He recovered it 28 days later and waited for another two months before deciding against Jason the Terrible. He won the vacant WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Championship on February 4, 1989, but it was lost to Abbuda Dein after losing it to Abbuda Dein. On March 4, he took his third Caribbean Heavyweight Championship and then gave it to Rip Rogers on May 14. He claimed the vacant WWC Television Championship on June 17.

TNT had a midcard feud with Carlos Colón, Sr., in the last half of 1989, which was cut short midway through the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship. Given his fame as a fan favorite and solid wrestling skills, TNT was expected to win the belt. He defeated Burke in the Universal Heavyweight Championship in 1990 and vacated the Television Championship on February 9, 1990. He defended the title for a month before he decided to Abdullah the Butcher before he renamed it to Abdullah the Butcher. TNT's second television championship was won on April 25, 1990, the first television championship to be broadcast in until January 1991, when it was vacated.

TNT turned heel and began competing with Colón, who had defeated the Heavyweight Championship from Abdullah, prior to Aniversario 1990, the WWC's centennial show. The feud came to an end at Aniversario, where they fought to a sixty-minute draw. He lost to Masahiro Chono at New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Antonio Inoki's 30th anniversary exhibition on September 30, 1990.

In early 1991, he clashed with a wrestler who had first used the word "TNT," winning the right to use the name on March 2, 1991. Rivera defeated the wrestler (now known as "Action Jackson") for his third Television Championship later that month. He won and regained the championship in the ensuing three months and then lost it to David Sierra on October 19. He won it for the fifth time this week by defeating Sierra in a rematch and retaining the title for a month before losing it to Dick Murdoch. This was his last WWC championship.

Rivera was brought back to the United States after she had extensive wrestling experience. In December 1991, he was instrumental in Gordon Socozarri's American Wrestling Federation's television tapings (AWF). He defeated Tom Burton and Manny Fernandez to win the AWF Americas Championship. Rivera returned to NJPW on November 22, 1992, losing to Shinya Hashimoto. Ron Powers and Tony Halme were defeated by him the next day by Scott Norton.

Rivera debuted as Kwang on January 10, 1994 after losing two dark matches in the World Wrestling Federation as TNT in July 1993. A mask, a stereotypical martial arts moveset, and Asian mist were all used to depict mysterious "Asian" wrestlers in this gimmick. In the weeks leading up to his television debut, which took place on January 22, 1994, he was the fourth man to register in the 1994 Royal Rumble. During the match, Owen Hart, the fifth entrant, fought the face wrestlers to a stalemate until Diesel entered seventh and banned all of the previous entrants.

Kwang's debut on television on January 30, where he defeated Ray Hudson. He lost to Bret Hart, the WWF Champion, on Monday Night Raw's episode on April 18. He lost a King of the Ring qualifier to Razor Ramon on May 9 Raw. He lost to The Undertaker on September 12, the undertaker. Howard Finkel was at ringside on January 9, 1995, when he defeated Wippleman in a Tuxedo match, then resigned as Kwang's boss. Kwang gradually faded from WWF television after an appearance in the 1995 Royal Rumble, where he would ban Doink the Clown, until losing his last match to Hakushi on April 29, 1995.

During the WWF's first In Your House pay-per-view interview, Rivera was seen in street clothes on May 14, 1995. When Razor Ramon was assaulted by Jeff Jartt and The Roadie, Rivera, portraying a supporter in the audience, the guard jumped the guardrail to rescue him. Razor introduced him as his childhood friend, "Savio Vega," later that night.

On the May 28 episode of WWF Action Zone, Vega made his wrestling debut, defeating Eli Blu. He appeared in the 1995 King of the Ring tournament as a substitute for the injured Razor Ramon. He qualified by defeating Irwin R. Schyster in the event's pre-show and then defeated Yokozuna by countout in the first round, despite Yokozuna's tag partner, Owen Hart, backfired. He then defeated The Roadie with a rollup pinfall. In the finals, he met Mabel, losing after Mabel got the tournament off the ropes.

Vega defeated Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett by disqualification on RAW next night. Vega and Razor fought Yokozuna and Hart to a time limit draw on July 31, then lost a match the next week. He wrestled in tag matches with Razor and Bob Holly throughout the year, as well as in singles matches against wrestlers like Waylon Mercy, Sid, and Goldust. He teamed with Razor in 1996, losing to The Smoking Gunns, then his relationship with Razor abruptly ended.

Vega was the twelfth entrant in the 1996 Royal Rumble, excluding Dory Funk, Jr., before being eliminated by Vader. He lost to Vader the next night on RAW. For the first time, he wrestled Stone Cold Steve Austin on the RAW, resulting in a double count out. This resulted in a feud and a sequence of matches. Both men's WrestleMania debuts and Austin won the first of these at WrestleMania XII.

Vega defeated Goldust for the Intercontinental Championship on April 15. Vega took the competition, but WWF President Gorilla Moonson reversed the decision and vacated the title. Vega and Goldust fought for the title on the same day, which was won by Goldust. "The Caribbean Kid" appeared on the flag of Puerto Rico and billed as "The Caribbean Kid" on the Monday 13 Superstars, Rivera defeated Austin by pinfall and then unveiled himself. This was Austin's first singles loss in the WWF, as well as The Caribbean Kid's first appearance. On April 28, Austin defeated In Your House 7: Good Friends, Better Enemies. Beware of Dog, beware of Dog, one month later, Vega defeated Austin in a Caribbean Strap Match. Ted DiBiase, Austin's boss, had to leave the WWF due to the stipulations. This was DiBiase's last appearance on WWF television until 2005.

Vega beat Justin Bradshaw in their first match on July 8. He lost a rematch at In Your House 9: The International Incident on July 21, which was also a match. Vega lost his first match by submission to Crush on August 12, 1996. He lost a match to Owen Hart at SummerSlam and was then attacked by Bradshaw. In In Your House ten: Mind Games, he defeated Bradshaw in a Caribbean Strap Match, bringing an end to their feud.

Vega defeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley on September 7th, a new Raw episode. This was followed by a victory over the fake Razor Ramon, who had appeared after Razor's return to World Championship Wrestling. Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith were unsuccessfully defeated by Jesse James in the WWF Tag Team Championship on December 22.

Vega entered the 1997 Royal Rumble but was defeated by eventual champion Stone Cold Steve Austin.

After turning on his partner, Ahmed Johnson, on January 25, 1997, Vega turned heel and joined The Nation of Domination, a stable led by Faarooq. In the ensuing months, Johnson emerged as the country's biggest rival. Flash Funk was defeated in his first match as a member. He defeated Faarooq and Crush in a six-man tag competition at In Your House 13: Final Four. He lost three matches in a row after disqualifying to Marc Mero and Goldust in February.

Vega and Crush were disqualified from The Legion of Doom on March 17, 1997. They teamed with Faarooq in a six-man street tag match against the Legion of Doom and Johnson at WrestleMania 13. Vega lost by disqualification when The Country intervened on the next Raw.

Vega then feuded with Intercontinental Champion Rocky Maivia. Maivia, a year ago, entered the feud as an undefeated candidate with a big push. Vega defeated Maivia by pinfall on the RAW on April 14, despite retaining his tights. You House 14: He returned to Maivia once more, this time by counting out. He struck Maivia's knee during the game.

Vega fought in In Your House 15: A Cold Day in Hell, Vega was eliminated from the competition against Johnson and was disqualified before Faarooq claimed it for the country. He challenged The Undertaker for the WWF Championship on Raw but was disqualified the next night. The nation lost a rematch against Johnson and The Legion of Doom on June 9, which was a rematch from WrestleMania 13. Following this, the nation developed internal problems and was eventually disbanded, when Faarooq dismissed several people, including Vega and Crush.

Following his release from The Nation of Domination, Vega formed Los Boricuas, a Puerto Rican wrestlers, who were recruited from Puerto Rican promotions. Miguel Pérez, Jr., a former Extreme Championship Wrestling and World Championship Wrestling champion, is the son of Pedro "Huracán" Castillo, Jr., and Jose Estrada, Jr. is the son of José Estrada, Sr., and Jose Estrada, Jr., is the son of José Estrada, Jr. In the meantime, Faarooq had morphed The Country into a black-only group, while Crush had founded The Disciples of Apocalypse, a white biker group, with a slogan based on ethnic stereotypes and closely mirrored some actual gang wars. The three four-member teams met one another early in the game, with none of them having a definite advantage early on. Los Boricuas defeated The Disciples of Apocalypse at SummerSlam. Vega defeated Crush to a no contest in the first singles match between former Country members. Ground Zero: In Your House on September 7, he defeated Faarooq and Crush in a triple threat match. Vega and Pérez unsuccessfully challenged the Headbangers for the WWF World Tag Team Championship at the UK exclusive pay-per-view. The Disciples beat Los Boricuas at Bad Blood in Your House. Vega lost to Goldust, Mero, and Ken Shamrock in singles matches between October and November.

The Legion of Doom was defeated by Vega and Pérez for the Tag Team Championship on October 27. They lost to The New Age Outlaws in their next match. Los Boricuas and The Disciples exchanged victories in December 1997.

Owen Hart's first singles competition of 1998 was a flop. Vega and Pérez defeated Taka Michinoku and Scott Taylor last week. He was the 26th entrant in the 1998 Royal Rumble, and Steve Austin had already been ruled out of the competition the year before. Vega and Los Boricuas attacked the Undertaker alongside New Age Outlaws to help Shawn Michaels in defeating him in a casket match. When he replaced the injured Shawn Michaels in the eight-man tag main event, Vega headlined No Way Out of Texas: In Your House on February, he was working with Triple H and the New Age Outlaws in a losing effort. He defeated Triple H on March 9 Raw to a no contest.

Vega defeated Vega in a royal contest won by Legion of Doom 2000. Los Boricuas lost to LOD 2000 a week later. In April, the Gang Wars continued with matches against The Disciples. Rivera lost to NWA World Champion Dan Severn on May 4, the NWA World Champion.

The three stables' leaders met in a triple threat competition, which Vega won. Los Boricuas splintered into two tag teams after the angle. Vega defeated Brakkus in a Brawl for All Tournament boxing match on July 6, a Brawl match. He lost a quarterfinal match to Darren Drozdov on August 10, who was defeated in a quarterfinal match. He wouldn't appear on WWF television until July 1999 due to a serious arm injury. He will make several appearances on WWF Super Astros and WWF Jakked/Metal dark matches (sometimes with other Boricua members). During this period, he provided commentary at the Spanish announce table at the Fully Loaded PPV and several episodes of Monday Night Raw. In September 1999, he was suspended from his WWF service.

Rivera defeated Prince Albert on December 15, 1999 at an International Wrestling Association house show in Puerto Rico. The IWA was a new promotion initiated by V.ctor Quirones, one of WWF's operational territories.

On returning to Puerto Rico, Rivera joined the now-independence IWA. He wrestled as Savio Vega, but even ended feuds by wearing war paint in the final matches and changed his wrestling name to "El Hombre Dinamita" (as a WWC trademarked and did not allow him to use).

Vega defeated Jesus Castillo, his former Los Boricuas stablemate and now a member of the IWA Hardcore Championship, defeated Miguel Pérez on July 16, 2001. Since he was unable to wrestle, he was forced to leave the title. He eventually turned on his former allies and became General Manager, creating "La Compa" (The Company), which included Apolo and Ricky Banderas, whom he referred to as his "Dream Team" (The Company).

Vega was depicted as co-owner of the IWA, but the corporation had no legitimate interest in it. He was more often a boss than a wrestler as GM. He introduced his catchphrase, A mi manera o pa' la calle, (roughly, "My way or the highway"), in which he threatened to murder wrestlers and occasionally did so. When performing a traditional Puerto Rican bomba, Santa Mara, he would "discipline" wrestlers by mugging them in a crowd. He allied with the main heel stable in the program, made up of Chicky Starr, Vctor Rodro, and Ricky Banderas later in 2001. Vega and The Starr Corporation chatted with Banderas and Shane, who teamed as Los Hermanos en Dolor and feuded with Banderas during Christmas 2001. Until a clash between them erupted, the Starr Corporation stayed on his side, prompting Vega to recall Laureano from the IWA.

Vega won the IWA World Heavyweight Championship on March 2, 2002, eventually dropping it to Figueroa. Los Boricuas reunited later this year, when Pérez joined Vega to win the IWA World Tag Team Championships. Vega was hospitalized by Banderas in November 2002 and was absent for two weeks. On January 6, 2003, Vega brought in international wrestlers to incapacitate him as he recovered from Banderas, granting him a championship match against Figueroa.

For several months, Banderas ruled La Compaia until Rey Fénix arrived, sparking a power struggle in which Vega supported Fénix. In tag matches, Vega and Fénix defeated Banderas and Rodrón. Fénix revealed his true identity, Ray González, after winning the initial match at Golpe de Estado 2003 and left La Compaia. Vega and his comrade, La Familia del Milenio, have been joined by a heel Figueroa and Slash Venom. Several matches against Figueroa & Kindred, and Pérez & Castillo were contested by this new group. Rivera defeated Huertas González to a no contest at Golpe de Estado 2003, owing to a lot of bleeding from both sides. Kindred and Vega launched an assault on Banderas following a match on November 15, 2003, and Vampiro saved him from Vaino, igniting a new rivalry for La Compaia.

Rivera returned to his "El Hombre que ellos llaman TNT" persona at Hardcore Weekend 2003, vs. Huertas González. Rivera was fired by José Chaparro, who went on to take over the General Manager office on behalf of IWA's CEO, Thomas Wreckler, to close the year. During his absence, V.ctor "The Bodyguard" Rodrn emerged as the La Compaia's self-proclaimed leader. In June 2004, a storyline to bring Rivera back was published, in which Thomas Wreckler, the CEO, was brought on to warn La Familia and La Compaia. However, this storyline was interrupted by Rodr's death due to a heart attack, and he unsuccessfully tried to regain control of the General Manager by provoking González at Summer Attitude. Rivera reformed La Compaia on July 25, 2004. González was involved in an angle in which he gained 49% of IWA's shares in August 2004. He then entered a feud with the owner of the remaining 51%, Vance Quiones. González, Bad Blood, August 28, 2004, announced that IWA would be called "Capitol Sports Promotions" from that point forwards, claiming that Quiones had already received reports confirming this. González began recruiting Huertas González to join him, claiming that the two groups are linked to "Capitol." Someone assaulted Huertas González backstage in September 2004, leaving Rivera's legendary bat behind. The perpetrator was later revealed to be "Lighting" acting on González's behalf, just as Huertas González was about to join the "Capitol" group.

González revealed on October 9, 2004 that "Capitol" had formed an alliance with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling-NWA for Golpe de Estado, and that this move would bring in NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarret, Robert Roode, Konnan, and Shawn Hernandez. Rivera bet the stocks at Golpe de Estado right away after completing this story, with the winner winning complete control of both halves of the game, which was accepted. He defeated González ending the name change angle on October 14, 2004, with the score tied between "Capitol" and IWA. González lost the title to Sewell in a match ordered by him at Christmas in PR 2004. Rivera, on the other hand, has teamed up with Huertas González to compete for the World Tag Team Championship. However, he turned to Huertas González and joined Sewell, transforming La Compaia heel. Rivera converted his traditional Puerto Rico outfit to one depicting the Flag of Canada. Throughout 2005, he fought with González. Both teams formed separate tag teams with members of their stable, exchanging victories. Rivera defeated González in a singles match on June 18, 2005. Miguel "Mr. Big" Maldonado was sent by him to La Compaia to act as his personal bodyguard. Rivera defeated Carlos Cotto in his second World Heavyweight Championship on November 11, 2005. He was still in a leather strap competition later this month. José Huertas González as referee of a third match between them was declared a no contest. However, he lost in a "loser leaves the company" match against González on January 6, 2006, losing a final match against Huertas González before leaving. This was the second time Rivera's position as General Manager was overthrown, and a taleline was told where Pérez had fired him and vignettes were aired where he was depicted as a homeless man. Orlando is the new General Manager. Quizones' nephew, who has now been defunct, was named as the new General Manager. Pérez and him ran in a fictional election, which Rivera won but was postponed due to his inability to work, giving way to a new villainous president in Toledo. Rivera continued to feud with González and Sewell after being "reinstated," with a close partnership with Toledo. When the former heeled, he began to form a tag team with Huertas González, "Los Inhumanos." Huertas González defeated Rivera in a "death match" during his IWA's retirement election.

Rivera eventually made amends with Pérez and joined him on Babderas and Sewell in an attempt to rivalize with González and Toledo's Estrellas. His team won six consecutive matches against the heel teams after a tag team match that went unused in February 2007. Rivera himself defeated Estrellas' Kafu, Mikael Judas, and Michael Jarvis, nicknamed "Colossus" after the fact. He and Cotto formed a regular tag team to battle Jarvis and Judas, gaining a 2-1 advantage. Rivera went on to defeat Jarvis twice and then get disqualified against Kafu, causing Summer Attitude 2007. Rivera joined Sewell to form a tag team, winning two matches against the Estrellas shortly after. He then began a feud against Figueroa, with both of their matches being inconclusive. He remained in a feud with Toledo's Estrellas stable until early 2007, when the former left the company following an incident where Rivera sided with Pérez in a dispute between him and Mario Savoldi. On returning to his position as GM, he became the head of a new heel stable called "Los Auntenticos" along Pérez and Ricky Vega. This faction was immediately involved in an advantage against many other stables within the company in a power struggle. Los Autenticos was disqualified in a match against González and Figueroa in his first match after a mandated hiatus. They went on to defeat "Los Rabiosos," a group of Freddie "Blitz" Lozada and Maldonado, who was composed of Freddie "Blitz" Lozada and Maldonado. Rivera also feud with Lozada after the former teamed with Ricky Vega to defeat Los Autenticos. He defeated Vega on June 14, 2008, beating her in the Vega battle. Rivera went through a feud with Bison Smith, losing twice. He defeated The Sheik in a no-match on October 4, 2008. The stable eventually included Dennis Rivera and his tag team partner Noel Rodrón. The names of former WWC employees would then be written on a "terror list." This list was used in a new context in which the stable would ambush and assault wrestlers that were randomly chosen from the list. Los Autenticos lost in a Boricu Rumble match before winning their next appearance at Golpe de Estado. Rivera ran a mock campaign to become Governor of Puerto Rico for the fictional Partido Luchador Puertorriqueo (PLP) prior to the 2008 general elections. The closure of Loteria del Terror came after the other members voted on Rivera and Pérez, citing that "they were part of Capitol once," sparking a sibling rivalry against Dennis Rivera, which was backed by Noel Rodr and Richard Rondón. Matches between them lasted for two weeks, Los Autenticos lost two tag team matches against this team, dubbed "La Malicia." In matches between brothers, there was no contest and a win by Dennis Rivera. "La Compaia Elite," Joe Bravo's second feud with his own stable, is ongoing. Rivera and Pérez gained a match against two lowcard members of La Compaia. He wrestled Bravo to a no contest at the IWA's tenth anniversary show, with the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship being postponed. Rivera lost the match.

He won a handicap match over Rondón and Rodrez in August 2009 and teamed to beat La Compaia. In consecutive matches, he defeated Bravo and Edwin Vázquez Ortega. Rivera has turned heel once more, this time alongside Gilbert, who is also known as "La Cruz del Diablo." Dennis Rivera's father was recalled to his side by saying, "blood is heavier than water." At the Copa José Miguel Pérez and Summer Attitude games, he triumphed in consecutive matches over Bravo. Rivera helped defeat The Bad Boys from Hell's Kitchen, as well as winning singles matches over Keith Walker and Sonny Roselli. Hugo Savinovich called Rivera in June 2010 in order to get involved in an alliance with IWA's biggest rival, WWC. Savinovich is the producer of Aniversario, the WWC's biggest annual event. Rivera appeared on a talk show alongside Carlos Colón when they were still in talks. Here, the angle of promotion began by staging a scene where he mocked Carly Colón's ostensible use of painkillers, causing Colón to leave the stage. This was the first time either of them appeared together in over a decade after WWC's complaint over the TNT character. Rivera maintained the pattern over the past weeks by launching two challenges in IWA competitions, as well as changing the finisher's name to "La Painkiller." Rivera defeated World Wrestling Entertainment employee Bryan Danielson, then IWA Puerto Rico Heavyweight Champion and first competitor to the WWE Championship, by pinfall at Summer Attitude 2010. Later that night, he suspended a competition for the belt between his brother and Danielson, which was won by the younger Rivera. Rivera then began a feud with lvarez, who had been special referee at Summer Attitude 2010 and made his in-ring debut in the IWA, winning the competition between them. Rivera continued to win two more games over midcard talent before going on to a long hiatus. He returned to "The Academy" in winter, a group that had joined the IWA only months before Pérez was harassing him. Rivera lost to one of The Academy's members at Christmas, the debuting Chris Angel for the vacant Intercontinental Championship. A rematch was scheduled for Histeria Boricua 2011, which was promoted with a throwback twist in which he talked about how he had defeated other undefeated wrestlers such as Austin and Johnson, claiming that his loss in PR was nothing but a fluke. Despite all this, Angel won the rematch and later became the undefeated world champion. Pérez confronted Rivera after the loss and told him not to return until he had "returned to his roots," as he exited the ring.

Rivera began working as a road agent for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in July 2008. He became the promotion's women's division, or the TNA Knockouts, in January 2009. During this time, he served as the division's unofficial trainer. Rivera was fired from his employment on July 31, 2009.

Rivera was rehired by TNA in late 2011, this time to work with TNA affiliate promotion in India. He, along with Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantell, was in charge of training the Indian wrestlers at Ohio Valley Wrestling, TNA's growing territory in Louisville, Kentucky.

As a result, Rivera was completely out of any wrestling-related activities for many months. He appeared on the last edition of WWC's Superestrellas de la Lucha Libre show before Aniversario 2011, breaking the recording by stepping into the camera while wearing an IWA shirt. At the actual event, he led a large group of IWA wrestlers, including incumbent Undisputed World Champion Hiram Tua, who immediately stormed the WWC arena, knocking down the WWC Tag Team Champions, Wilfredo "Lynx" Rivera and Alejandro "Niche" Marrero. This performance became known as "El Bombazo" in honor of his gimmick and the explosive nature of true TNT. Rivera himself addressed the crowd and launched yet another threat to Colón, who responded in a subsequent interview by launching a challenge of his own. The WWC responded by entering Summer Attitude and Induction into the IWA's new event, beating the Quiones' Hall of Fame. Despite this, the negotiations between the two parties stalled, and no further action was taken for the remainder of 2011. Rivera returned to IWA for the first time since Histeria Boricua 2011, taking over the office of General Manager and bringing together the still-weak Angel and Phillip Davian to form a stable, "La Academia Gerencial." Due to him being on the RKK project for TNA in OVW and India, the company stayed away from action for the remainder of the year, and he appointed an interim General Manager who had been in charge of Histeria Boricua 2012, the company stayed away from action for the remainder of the year. Rivera reappeared in Superestrellas de la Lucha Libre prior to the WWC's Euphoria 2012 case, supporting Ricky Banderas in his fight against Colón. Colón eventually cost him the game by playing a video claiming that the "hunting had begun" that lasted for the remainder of the planned time.

Pérez also established the Extreme Wrestling Organization, the third largest company in Puerto Rico, this time. Rivera himself was uninvolved in this, having a reunion with La Academia Gerencial. Angel and Davian resigned from the service in February when he was living outside of Puerto Rico, disbanding the family. Consequently, Rivera sided with the IWA upon returning, threatening EWO workers at Clash of the Titans 2012. He also competed in a New Revolution Wrestling event, winning the heavyweight championship during his tour. Rivera resurfaced in the IWA on May 26, 2012, defeating EWO CEO Richard Rondón to a winner-takes-all match in Juicio Final. The event was postponed due to unspecified circumstances, but the IWA's relationship with EWO was subsequently dissolved. Rivera began a new quest in July 2012, making appearances in the International Gladiators Wrestling Alliance and the Puerto Rico Wrestling Association. Lucha Libre Extrema Internacional, he had participated in some shows of IGWA's predecessor, Lucha Libre Extrema Internacional. Rivera resurfaced in Superestrellas de la Lucha Libre on October 7, 2012, bringing a new challenge. However, this time, Colón faced a challenge of his own by inviting him to a special edition of Carlito's Cabana. Rivera appeared on the talk show on October 14, 2012. Both traded insults and ended with the security removing Colón when he attempted to assault him after the former spat an apple in his face. Rivera resurfaced and addressed the crowd briefly before being barred from the premises by Victor Jovica at Halloween Wrestling Xtravaganza. Jovica summoned Honor vs. Traición Rivera to a face-to-face match. In the hair vs. hair match between Ray Gonzalez and Carlito, Vega served as the special referee at Lockout 2012. Rivera T.N.T. appears on the episode "Latrellas de la Lucha Libre" on November 9, 2013. It was revealed that it was a joke. Vega defeated Chris Angel to win the WWC Universal Championship at Crossfire on November 16, 2013. However, at Lockout, he lost the title to Mighty Ursus. On January 19, 2014, TNT captured the title for the first time. TNT defeated Apolo in the WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Championship on March 30, 2014 at Hora de la Verdad. TNT lost the title against Carlito Caribbean Cool on July 19, 2014. Vega left WWC in October 2014.

He competed in Revolution X-treme Wrestling in Panama, Panama, where he claimed the title of the vacant RXW World Heavyweight Championship, where he won the tournament. He began his international tour in January 2008. Power House Wrestling Of New England's Boston debut for this tour began with a demonstration. And continued with a trip to Ecuador, where he would defend the Wrestling Alliance Revolution Tag Team Championship. The tour came to an end in Panama, where he defended the company's name against Ricky Banderas. In PHW, he competed in a tag team competition where he teamed with a wrestler named Don Vega. They lost a competition that featured the company's heavyweight champion. He will then compete in "WAR Conquest 2008," a unique event sponsored by the Wrestling Alliance Revolution. In this case, he defended the organization's tag team championship alongside Condor Ortz, a match that the team lost after Ortz mistakenly kicked Vega. Following the match, he turned on Ortz and later challenged Kuervo, the company's heavyweight champion, to a championship match on the occasion. After a Vega spat green mist on his face, Kuervo was kept disqualified by disqualification.
