Sarah Stickney Ellis is a nineteenth-century English author of books about women. Sarah Ellis (born 19 May 1952) is a Canadian children's writer and librarian.
She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and studied at the University of British Columbia, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1973 and a Master of Library Science degree in 1975.
In 1980, she attended the Center for the Study of Children's Literature at Simmons College in Boston.
She has worked in Toronto and Vancouver as a librarian.
