Early life
Parveen Rizvi was born in Karachi, British India, on June 14th. Mehtab Rizvi, the Parveen Rizvi's (or Sangeeta's) mother, worked in show industry for a long time. Humayun Qureshi, a fellow Pakistani actor, was Sangeeta's first marriage. They had a daughter together. This marriage was doomed to last many years, and the couple divorced. Career
Sangeeta appeared on the film Koh-e-Noor (1969) as a child actor, directed by Agha Husaini in 1969. In 1971, she returned to Lahore from her hometown of Karachi and started a more active role in Lollywood films. The Pakistani public was raving over her role as a supporting actor in Riaz Shahid's film Yeh Aman (1971). She went on to appear in scores of other films before deciding to become a film producer-director with her own film Society Girl in 1976. Sangeeta has more than 120 films to her name, both as an actress and a producer. She was honoured by the Government of Pakistan with the Pride of Performance award in 2022 for her contributions to the film and television industry.
