Career

Simmons has appeared on Conan, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Room 101, Adam DeVine's House Party, and is currently building his own sitcom in the United Kingdom. NBC, BBC, Channel 4, ABC, and many other Australian broadcasters have appeared on television.

He performed as a regular host on Triple J and jtv interviewing bands, as well as jtv interviewing bands, and he created his own brand of non-sequitur and surrealist non-humour. In 2009, Murray Foote and The Urban Monkey appeared on his first television show The Urban Monkey.

Simmons released Problems, a sketch-style television series, in 2012, with a tone more reminiscent of his surrealist stand-up shows. He appeared at TEDxSydney in 2014 and is now on a new American pilot with David Quirk in Albuquerque. It's described as "a reality show about animals," Simmons referred to it as "a reality show about animals." Simmons appears on Dirty Laundry Live, a comedy quiz show hosted in the United States.

He received the Edinburgh Fringe Comedy award three times before and the 2015 Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Mr Wallaby's voice was present in Peppa Pig's in 2017.

Simmons hosted "26 Things You're Doing Wrong With Sam Simmons" about unconventional life hacks in 2019. He appeared in the Australian comedy film LOL: Last one Laughing.
