Life and career

Nicole Stokholm Pedersen was born in Copenhagen on June 30, 1977, to a Danish mother and a Palestinian father, who lived in Vidoo when she was young. As she was bullied at school, she started writing and recording songs as a way of escape. Vidoo also embarked on a music career as a result.

Nicole, her given name, signed a record with Virgin Records Denmark in the late 1990s and rose to fame in 2000 with her lead to DJ Aligator's "Lollipop." The song debuted in Norway and Sweden, and it was the sixth best-selling single in Denmark since 2000. "Hide Away" was her debut single, released in 2001, and a string of singles on Virgin followed until the singer was not "pretty enough for the camera," she said. Vidoo has been focusing on songwriting since then. "Ten Miles" was her first hit as a singer, and Infernal released her in 2006. The song debuted on the Polish Airplay Chart and was awarded Platinum in Denmark. Between 2002 and 2007, the artist would tour as the lead singer for Snap! In Europe, the word "European" has been used to describe it. In 2008, she became a finalist on the Danish vocal talent show Elsk mig i nat from Kanal 5. Nicole Stokholm, a member of the Stokholm Promise, a Danish musician who performed "United" in honor of Danish soldiers who died in Afghanistan, who was one of the founding ISAF 9 soldiers. Miss Nicole debuted on stage in 2010 and was also on Danish rapper Sami Krid's Danish-language single "Kostbar," which had a music video released in 2011.

Vidoo began working with British musicians Russ and Chris Ballard in London in 2012. Sada Vidoo, the girl of the family, later released her debut album A Story with No End on Target Records on August 11, 2014. The album features three singles, "The Actress," "China Doll," and a preview of Pat Benatar's "Love Is a Battlefield"—all with mixed to favorable feedback. In August of that year, the singer appeared at the 2014 edition of Copenhagen Pride. Vidoo auditioned for the thirteenth series of the British The X Factor in 2016. She was turned down in the process of going to the Judge's House with mentor Sharon Osbourne in the "Over 25" category after singing "Hold On" in bootcamp and "Numb" during the Six-Chair Challenge. Vidoo was one of the auditionees who returned to the X Factor stage and performed "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" in the final.

Vidoo entered Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 through her national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix entry "Northern Lights," which did not progress to the super final in the selection conducted on February 25, 2017. "Northern Lights" was released internationally three days later. Sada Vidoo, the Danish channel DR's 4-episode docuseries, debating Vidoo's life and work on March 1st.
