Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter (born May 11, 1999) is an American singer and actress.

She had a recurring role as the young version of Chloe Goodwin in The Goodwin Games and starred as Maya Hart in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World.

She starred as Jenny Parker in 2016 Disney Channel Original Movie Adventures in Babysitting.

She is signed to Hollywood Records.

Her debut EP Can't Blame a Girl for Trying was released in 2014, and she has since released four full-length albums: Eyes Wide Open (2015), Evolution (2016), and Singular: Act I (2018).

Early life

Carpenter was born on May 11, 1999, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, to David and Elizabeth Carpenter, and raised in East Greenville. She was raised alongside three older sisters and was homeschooled. At age 10, she began posting videos on YouTube of her singing. Her father built a recording studio for her to fuel her passion for music. In 2011, she placed third in a singing contest, The Next Miley Cyrus Project, run by Miley Cyrus.

In 2011, Carpenter's first acting appearance on the NBC drama series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She appeared on Chinese state-owned television station Hunan Broadcasting System's Gold Mango Audience festival "Something's Got a Hold on Me." Carpenter appeared on Fox's three-month series The Goodwin Games in 2012.

She appeared in a 2013 film Horns and performed "Smile" for an album, Disney Fairies: Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust; the song charted on Radio Disney. On Sofia the First, her song "All You Need" appears. Carpenter was cast in a Disney Channel show Girl Meets World in January 2013. Carpenter appeared in More Adventures in Babysitting, a Disney Channel Original Film that premiered in 2015. She appeared in Peter Pan and Tinker Bell's Christmas production in Pasadena.

Carpenter appeared in The Hate U Give in 2018, based on the novel. In October 2018, the film was released. In 2018, she appeared in The Short History of the Long Road. She released "Skin," which was originally intended for Emails that I Can't Send, but was not included on it in January 2021. The song debuted on Billboard Hot 100 for her first appearance on the chart, and in the top ten on the Billboard Global 200 and in the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. She appeared on the music video for the song with her sister Sarah. In July 2022, she released "Vicious," her third single. Emails Can't Send debuted at 23rd on the United States in July 2022.
