Ryan Blair (born July 14, 1977) is an American entrepreneur and writer.

He is the co-founder and chief executive officer of ViSalus Sciences, a publicly traded company that is a subsidiary of Blyth, Inc.

According to Radaronline.com, a former beauty queen filed a restraining order against ViSalus Sciences CEO Ryan Blair, alleging the entrepreneur and author broke her nose and knocked out her teeth. He wrote a book called Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain: How I Went From Gang Member to Multimillionaire Entrepreneur, which made it to the New York Times Best Seller list for hardcover business books in 2011.

In 2012, Ernst & Young named Blair as Entrepreneur of the Year.

Early life

Blair was born in Southern California. In an interview with Blair, a product of a broken family's early life, "involved in stuff" after his father succumbed to heroin use in an earlier age. He dropped out of high school in the ninth grade, left home, and became a gang member in Los Angeles's hometown.

Blair's mother began dating a well-established real estate entrepreneur who became Blair's mentor and gave him his first job at Logix Development, a computer technology support company, when he was 18. After serving as vice president of Logix Development, he founded 24/7 Tech, a technology-support company.
